Additional Persecution News from China – July 2, 2016 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 32 were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hao Yueshan's Prison Release Date

Ms. Hao Yueshan from the Dalian Development Zone was arrested on July 6, 2012, for helping residents install satellite dishes that could receive New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) programs. She was sentenced to four years in prison and held in the Liaoning Women's Prison. Her release date was set for July 5, 2016.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested on June 28

Ms. Ding Yuanyun was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Zhongshan District Police Department on the morning of June 28, 2016. She was released that evening.

Ms. Wang Chunxiang and her daughter Ms. Guo Yu were arrested and their home ransacked by officers from the Kuiying Street Police Station in the Zhongshan District. Ms. Wang has returned home. Ms. Guo was detained for five days.

Nine practitioners from the Lushunkou District were arrested. They are: Mr. Gu Shucun, Mr. Wang Shiqiang, and Mr. Yu, Ms. Fang Huimin, her husband Mr. Ge, Mr. Wang Huixuan, his wife Ms. Wang Jinrong, Mr. Sheng Jie, and Ms. Jin Suyu.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Junlu Arrested and Mr. Liu Dexi Interrogated

Ms. Liu Junlu was arrested by officers from the Zhanbei Police Station on the morning of June 28, 2016. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated two computers among other things. The officers also ransacked her shop and confiscated several copies of the Nine Commentaries. She was released the following day.

Mr. Liu Dexi was called into the police station for questioning. He was released about an hour later.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ji Lan Arrested

Ms. Ji Lan was arrested at home by plainclothes officers on June 28, 2016.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lin Weizhu Arrested Again

Ms. Lin Weizhu, Jiaojinshan Neighborhood, Ganjingzi District, was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Xinghai Square on June 25, 2016. She was taken to her home in handcuffs the next morning. Her home was ransacked by police.

6. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Shenghua Detained

Mr. Sun Shenghua was arrested at home by local police on June 28, 2016. He was carried into the police vehicle. He is detained in Yingkou Detention Center.

7. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Qingxia Detained

Ms. Wu Qingxia was arrested and taken to Changliu Detention Center on June 30, 2016.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Qi Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Qi from the Nan'an District was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials at noon on June 30, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and printed materials. Her whereabouts is unknown.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Jun and Ms. Gao Yulan Tried

Mr. Zhang Jun and Ms. Gao Yulan were tried on June 30, 2016. No further information is available.

10. [Wuqiang County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

About eight officers from the Wuqiang County Police Department, Domestic Security Division, and the Zhouwo Township Police Station went to four practitioners' homes in Lifengzhuang Village on the afternoon of May 20, 2016. They ransacked their homes and confiscated computers, printers, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. They questioned two practitioners about the source of those items.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhou Yanchun, Ms. Zhou Yanli, her elder brother, and two other practitioners were arrested on June 28, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held in Zaohua Detention Center.

12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested and Whereabouts of One Is Unknown

Ms. Sun Min and Mr. Liu Jingyu were arrested in Haicheng City on June 28, 2016. Mr. Liu's home was ransacked and his whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Sun is being held in Anshan City Women's Detention Center.

A practitioner with the surname Dai was arrested and his home was ransacked on June 28, 2016.

Ms. Ma Huiyu was arrested and her home was ransacked. She is being held in Anshan City No. 3 Detention Center.

13. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Female Practitioner Ms. Lin Arrested

Female practitioner Ms. Lin was recently arrested.

14. [Yangxin County, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Cuihua Arrested

Ms. Chen Cuihua, Zhujiazhuang area, Banbishan Farm, was reported for practicing Falun Gong, and arrested on the morning of June 30, 2016. She was taken to County Political Security Division. Her home was ransacked.

15. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Yunxia Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yunxia was arrested by officers from the Zhaoji Township Police Station on June 29, 2016.

16. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. He Bin and Wife Detained

Over a dozen domestic security officers broke into Mr. He Bin's home on the morning of June 28, 2016. They arrested Mr. He, his wife, and their sleeping child, and took them to the Xiguan Police Station. They ransacked the place and confiscated a computer, printer, Falun Gong books, more than 1,000 yuan, and other personal belongings.

The child was released that afternoon. Mr. He was taken to the Erdaohezi Detention Center, Nantai Town, Haicheng City. His wife was taken to the Anshan City Women's Prison.

17. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Zhaohui Detained

Ms. Guo Zhaohui was arrested by officers from the Ganshiqiao Police Station, Shizhong District, on the afternoon of June 30, 2016. She is detained in the Jinan City Detention Center.

18. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lu Zhifan Detained

Mr. Lu Zhifan was arrested on his way to Chaihe Town. He has been held in the Chaihe Detention Center for two months. The Chaihe Police Department is preparing to bring charges against him.

19. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhou Bohong Detained

Officers from the Tongliao City Domestic Security Division, and the Criminal Police Team arrested Ms. Zhou Bohong in Baiyinhua Town on June 3, 2016. They ransacked her home and confiscated her cell phone and other personal items. Ms. Zhou is detained in the Hexi Detention Center.
