(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 26 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 52 were illegally arrested.

1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zong Hongdong, Mr. Zhang Liang, and Ms. Cui Bin were arrested by local police officers on June 28, 2016, and taken to a detention center.

At the same time, Ms. Wang Yanxia, Mr. Zhang Huan, and Ms. Song Yuegang were arrested by police officers and residential community management staff. Their homes were ransacked.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Xinli Detained

Ms. Zhao Xinli was arrested by officers from the Renmin Road Police Station in the Zhongshan District on June 28, 2016. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. She is held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Changrong Arrested

Mr. Wang Changrong from Dachangshandao Town in Changhai County was arrested by local police on June 28, 2016. The police ransacked his home and confiscated computers and printers.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Lianxi and Wife Ms. Shi Guifen Arrested

Mr. Qu Lianxi and his wife Ms. Shi Guifen were handcuffed when arrested on June 28, 2016. Their home was ransacked.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiao Fang Arrested

Ms. Xiao Fang from the Jinzhou New Area was arrested at home by officers from the Jinzhou New Area 610 Office on the morning of June 28, 2016. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and other personal belongings.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Chuang and Wife Sun Bin Arrested

Yang Tao and officers from the Xingfu Police Station, Nansha Street, Shangshahekou District, arrested Mr. Wang Chuang, 50, an architect, and his wife Ms. Sun Bin on June 28, 2016.

They ransacked the couple's home and confiscated a computer, printer, cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. Ms. Sun was released that evening. Mr. Wang was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xinlian and Husband Detained

Ms. Wang Xinlian from the Dalian Development Zone was arrested by officers from the Development Zone Police Department and the Haiqing Police Station on June 28, 2016. Her home was ransacked. They are detained in the Haiqing Police Station.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhong Shujuan Family of Three Arrested

Married couple Ms. Zhong Shujuan and Mr. Li Kuan and their daughter were arrested on June 28, 2016.

9. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Guifang Detained

Ms. Chen Guifang from Miaoling Town in Huarong District was arrested by officers from the Miaoling Town Police Station for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on June 16, 2016. She was taken to the Ezhou City Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

10. [Jingyuan County, Gansu Province] Mr. Liu Xicai and Mr. Zhang Bingwu Arrested

Mr. Liu Xicai and Mr. Zhang Bingwu were arrested by Zhong Lianrong, head of the 610 Office within the Domestic Security Division, on June 24, 2016.

11. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Ms. Duan Guizhen and Ms. Xu Shuzhen Arrested

Officers from the Tonghua County Police Department arrested Ms. Duan Guizhen and Ms. Xu Shuzhen on June 27, 2016. Ms. Xu was detained for 15 days. Ms. Duan failed the physical examination and was released.

12. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Suixian Taken into Custody

Mr. Liu Suixian was arrested by officers from the Qinghekou Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials on June 26, 2016. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, amulets, and paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. Mr. Liu is being held in the Fancheng Detention Center.

13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ge Zhenhua Detained

Mr. Ge Zhenhua from the Acheng District was arrested by officers from the Shangzhi Domestic Security Division and the Shangzhi Police Station on June 20, 2016. He is detained in the Shangzhi Detention Center.

14. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Xianghong and Ms. He Wei Detained

Ms. Li Xianghong and Ms. He Wei from Liquan County were arrested by Wang Tao, head of the Liquan County Domestic Security Division; Yao Weihong, director of the Shitan Police Station; and other officers for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Shitan Township, Liquan County, on the evening of June 26, 2016. Both practitioners are being held in the Liquan County Detention Center.

15. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jinling Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jinling was arrested on June 22, 2016.

16. [Leizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Chunlan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Chunlan was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Leizhou City Court in 2015. She appealed to the Zhanjiang City Intermediate Court in May 2016. The Zhanjiang City Intermediate Court held a secret trial and upheld her original sentence. She remains in the Leizhou City Detention Center.

17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Jinmei and Daughter Ms. Yin Yang Arrested

Ms. Zhou Jinmei and her daughter Yin Yang were arrested by plainclothes officers for talking to people about Falun Gong in a residential community in the Hanyang District on June 22, 2016. They were taken to the Etouwan Detention Center. Ms. Zhou was released because of high blood pressure. Ms. Yin was detained for 16 days.

18. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Shuying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Shuying, 78, was arrested by officers from the Qinhuai District 610 Office on June 2, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

19. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiaopang Arrested

A female practitioner with the nickname Xiaopang was arrested on June 27, 2016.

20. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Yupan Detained

Ms. Xu Yupan, 69, was arrested by Yuan Ye and Zhang Shangqing, officers from the Dinghe Police Station, on December 3, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held in the Jiaozuo City Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Yuhua was arrested in May 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

22. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Luo Changyun Arrested

Ms. Luo Changyun was arrested at home by two plainclothes officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on June 23, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

Several officers from the Jianfeng Police Station broke into Ms. Liu Yuzuo's home and arrested her on June 28, 2016. They ransacked her home.

Ms. Qin Yanmei from Huanggu District was arrested on June 28, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

25. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yu Guilan, Ms. Di Shaoqun, Ms. Xong Hui, and Ms. Di Hui from Hongwei District were arrested on June 27, 2016.

Ms. Xue Xiaotong was arrested on the morning of June 28, 2016.

26. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu was tried on June 13, 2016. She was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison. She has appealed to the Supreme Court.

27. [Laoling City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Jinhai Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhang Jinhai was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on June 24, 2016. He was arrested on January 22, 2015.

Mr. Liu Yamin, his wife, Mr. Sun Hongbing, Mr. Sun Guowen, Mr. Wang Jinzhu, and Mr. Qian Chuanguo from Qijiazi Town were arrested on the morning of June 28, 2016.

30. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Taiqing Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Luo Taiqing from Jiangjin District was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison in April 2016. She is incarcerated in the Chongqing Women's Prison.

She was arrested on September 17, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. She was held until the trial in the Jiangjin Detention Center.

31. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Shunhong and Wife Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo Tried

Mr. Zhang Shunhong and his wife Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo were tried recently by the Liaodong County Court. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison. Ms. Liu's verdict has not been issued as she did not make any confession and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing.

32. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Weidong Arrested

Mr. Liu Weidong was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Ershilipu Farmers Market on the morning of June 26, 2016.

33. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Dongmei and Ms. Luo Jun Arrested

Ms. He Dongmei and Ms. Luo Jun were arrested by officers from the Bazhong City police, the Nanchong City police, and the Shuishang Police Station on June 24, 2016. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, all their Falun Gong books, and computers.

34. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Jiang Yulan, Ms. Yang Jinda, and Ms. Gui Ning were followed and arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of June 19, 2016. They were taken to the Chaoyang Police Station and the Shuimenqiao Police Station. Ms. Yang and Ms. Gui were released. Ms. Jiang's whereabouts are unknown.
