(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Jinjun Suffers Mental Breakdown Due to Persecution

Ms. Sun Jinjun was sentenced to three years in prison by Guan Tiehua, a Tiexi Court judge, after she suffered a mental collapse. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on April 26, 2016. Authorities then secretly took her to the Dabei Prison to prevent her family from finding out that she was persecuted into having a mental collapse. They were afraid that her family would file complaints against those officials responsible for her condition.

2. [Kuancheng County, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Limei, Mr. Jin Deyin, Mr. Zhang Xiaoying, Mr. Zhang Lijun, and Ms. Xu Youlan were arrested by officers from the Kuancheng County Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of May 16, 2016. Ms. Zhang Limei's computer and printer were confiscated from her home.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Wenjun Detained

Ms. Sun Wenjun was reported to police by plainclothes officers while she was telling people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of May 14, 2016. She was arrested by officers from the Qinghejie Police Station. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Jing Xuqin Arrested

Ms. Jing Xuqin from the Daxing District was arrested by officers from the Linxiaolu Police Station while she was telling people about Falun Gong on May 17, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Song Jinmei Unable to Walk as a Result of Torture

Ms. Song Jinmei, about 70, was arrested three years ago by officers from the Kaifeng City 610 Office for telling people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Xinxiang Women's Prison. She is now disabled and unable to walk as a result of being severely abused in the prison. She needs help to move around.

6. [Xihua County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Suqin Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Suqin, 35, was arrested by officials from the Xihua County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and officers from the Xihuaying Township Police Station in the fall of 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese Communist Party leader who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. Later, she was sentenced to three years in prison and held in the Xinxiang Women's Prison.

Ms. Zheng Wei from Laobian District was arrested by officers from the Lunan Police Station on January 13, 2016. She was held in the Yingkou City Detention Center.

Ms. Ma Xiurong and Ms. Zhang Xiumei from the Coal Mine Community in Xiahuayuan District were arrested by officers from the Chengzhen Police Station while they were telling people about Falun Gong on the morning of May 18, 2016. They were taken to the Shisanli Detention Center.

Ms. Hao Yun from the Sijiagou Village in Huaishu Township was arrested at home on May 12, 2016. Mr. Hao Hongyoung from Longtai Village was arrested on April 22, 2016.

Mr. Zhou Xianrong was arrested recently for suing Jiang Zemin.

12. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Pan Chengying Arrested

Ms. Pan Chengying from Lishui District was arrested at her door by officers from the Lishui District Domestic Security Division on May 17, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

The Pudong New Area Court, on the morning of May 19,2016, sentenced Ms. Wu Jingfang to one year and eight months, and Ms. Wu Meifang to one year and six months in prison.

14. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Yuqing Detained

Ms. Ma Yuqing was arrested by Liu Dawei and officers from the Decheng District Domestic Security Division of the Police Department on April 22, 2016. The officers confiscated a computer and a printer. She is being held in the Dezhou Detention Center.

15. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoju Detained

Ms. Wu Xiaoju, 50, was arrested while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on April 7, 2016. She has been held in the Zhuhai No. 1 Detention Center.

16. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Hongyan, her younger brother Mr. Yang Rui, and Mr. Zhang Shousheng were arrested by officers from the Jiaohe City Domestic Security Division at noon on May 11, 2016. The officers confiscated notebook computers, desktop computers, printers, cell phones, printed materials, and 112,200 yuan in cash.

Mr. Liu Minghua was arrested at home on May 17, 2016.

18. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Deng Yuguo Detained

Mr. Deng Yuguo from Yushu City was arrested by officers from the Yushu City Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 18, 2016. The officers confiscated his car. He was held in a detention center for 15 days.

Mr. Li Shihai from Lijiaqudi Village in Renzhao Town was arrested by officers from the Dianbu Police Station on May 18, 2016. He was detained for 15 days.

Mr. Qin Wei was arrested by officers from the Shuguang Police Station while he was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the Haidian District on May 18, 2016. His home was ransacked.

22. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wu Siqing Detained

Mr. Wu Siqing from Yunxi District was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Wangjialing Police Station while he was posting Falun Gong informational materials on May 11, 2016. He was taken to the Linxiang County Detention Center for five days of detention.

23. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ning Xianmei, Ms. Lu Aihua, and Ms. Liu, from Yinjia Village in the Hongdao Economic Development Zone, were arrested by officers from the Hongdao Police Station while they were posting Falun Gong informational materials in the Economic Development Zone on the evening of May 19, 2016. They were held in the police station.

Ms. Sun Lihua, 65, from Hujiadu Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi City, was arrested by officers from the Rizhuang Town Police Station on May 9, 2016.

25. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Detong Arrested

Mr. Wang Detong from Liugezhuang Town in Haiyang City was arrested by officers from the Liugezhuang Town Police Station on May 13, 2016. He has returned home.

26. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cheng Lanfeng Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Cheng Lanfeng from Mazhuang Town in Daiyue District was arrested by officers from the Wenyang Police Station while she was distributing desk calendars with Falun Gong content on December 6, 2015. She was taken to the Tai'an City Detention Center.

The Feicheng City Court held a court hearing on April 14, 2016 and sentenced Ms. Cheng to four years and six months in prison without any of her family or friends in attendance in the court room.
