Frankfurt, Germany: Forced Organ Harvesting Shocks Onlookers
(Minghui.org) German Falun Gong practitioners held a rally and march near Frankfurt's Plausplatz on June 24, 2016, to raise awareness about the persecution in China, especially the forced organ harvesting from living practitioners. The Divine Land Marching Band led the march, and the event drew much attention.
Melani: The Atrocities Must Stop
Melani, who lives in Frankfurt, said she likes to listen to the Divine Land Marching Band, “The music is great. The rhythm, and the tone touched my heart.” After a practitioner told her about the unprecedented suppression of Falun Gong in China, she said, “How did the Chinese communist officials initiate such an atrocity? We need to tell them to stop.”
Mario: Organ Harvesting is the Worst
Mario from Leipzig said he felt the energy emanating from the band, and was amazed by the practitioners' courage in opposing the brutality.
He said, “There are unaccounted for human rights violations in China, and the forced organ harvesting is among the worst. You must let more people know about it.”
Growing up Eastern Germany, Mario said he was familiar with communist totalitarian regimes.
“When atrocities happened in Eastern Europe,” he said, “many were kept secret. Not until the collapse of the Berlin Wall did people fully understand the true magnitude of what went on.”
Falun Gong Music Exudes Energy
Frankfurt architect Arat Schmicker praised the excellent performance by the Divine Land Marching Band. Yet he was shocked to hear about the organ harvesting from living practitioners. He said, “Organ harvesting is too outrageous and it should not happen.” He said that many people were uninterested in such issues, “but we have to tell them about it and remind them how bad the situation is.”
One Chinese tourist also enjoyed the music and said she was deeply impressed. She said, “The music exudes energy and is very refreshing. I like it so much.”
A practitioner told one visitor more about Falun Gong and answered many questions. The visitor thanked her because she had learned so much, saying, “I did not know that the Chinese communists were so powerful and they had so much negative influence around the world. I will keep it in my mind and will think over this matter.”
