(Minghui.org) In my area a Falun Dafa practitioner in her 60s has been providing a Fa-study site for all of the local practitioners. She has been practicing Falun Dafa for 20 years. She maintained the Fa-study sessions in her house except during the time when she was illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). We all respect this practitioner.
When the persecution began, the people in her village were not kind to her. The local police hired people to monitor her daily. They would wait outside her house and not leave until everyone left after Fa-study. They observed that we were all kind, law-abiding people and did nothing illegal. Later they even greeted us and said, “Are you here to read with the others?”
Everyone likes to come study the Fa. A fellow practitioner's husband was curious. He said, “You all get together every night, what on earth are you doing?”
His wife brought him to our Fa-study group. He came to understand that we were all there to read our Fa books and grow in our cultivation. There was no gossiping or dishonest activity going on. He then admired everyone and had no doubts about what his wife was up to.
A fellow practitioner in her 80s works as a seamstress. She had no formal education. She joined our Fa study group but could only listen as she did not know how to read. She purchased a book and held it during Fa study while she listened. Back home she would sometimes ask her grandchildren about the words.
By practicing Falun Dafa her memory improved. If taught a new word she would remember it quickly. Soon she could read the book Zhuan Falun and other Dafa books all by herself. Her son and daughter all witnessed this.
The practitioners who joined our Fa-study achieved an understanding that we need to cultivate ourselves well and also need to save others; saving people is our responsibility.
One of the practitioners learned how to use a computer to print out Dafa materials and has kept doing it now for 10 years.
Some travel on their bicycles several dozen miles to distribute Dafa materials and talk to people about quitting the CCP.
All of the practitioners have the impression that most people are eager to be told the facts about Dafa.
Many of the practitioners used their real names to file lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the CCP who launched the persecution against Falun Dafa.
The practitioner's husband supports her a lot, including her efforts to run this Fa-study spot. The couple never think about their own interests. If less practitioners come, she looks within to see if she did anything to cause their absence. Then she will talk to them to eliminate any misunderstanding.
All of the practitioners here know that if we strictly do what Master has told us, we will feel confident and be able to find our own shortcomings. We are determined to do the three things well.
