(Minghui.org) My husband and I are both in our 80s. We began to practice Falun Dafa before the persecution started in July 1999. We started making truth-clarification materials in the winter of 2006.
Setting Up a Material Production Site
Even though the area where we live is densely populated, there are very few practitioners. We realized that we needed to set up a material production site to help people understand the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa.
In the beginning, we could only download and print materials from the Minghui website because we had no knowledge of computers. We then read an article on Minghui that mentioned flyers with articles from Minghui could be very effective. We thought that this would be good, and fellow practitioners also asked us to make them. So we realized we needed to learn some computer skills.
Master arranged a practitioner from another city to come teach us. I learned how to do layout, print, edit, and send articles to Minghui. Some of the brochures, flyers, and articles were published.
As a woman my age, I could never have learned how to use a computer and edit without Master's guidance and wisdom.
Keeping Up with Fa-Rectification
Master said:
“Indeed, it should be sued (enthusiastic applause from the disciples); all of humanity should sue it. It has harmed all Chinese people, as well as many people in other regions all over the world.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
We distributed a large number of informational brochures about the lawsuits being filed against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin. We also downloaded practitioners' sharing articles about how to file a lawsuit. Some practitioners mailed lawsuits against Jiang after they understood the importance of suing him.
To let people know about the lawsuits, we made informational stickers so that practitioners could post them in our area. We also made several brochures about the history of Jiang's evil deeds.
Another approach we used involved printing truth-clarification information on paper currency. We noticed that people's attitudes gradually changed from being afraid to accepting the bills.
Different Materials for Different People
A man who repairs bicycles used to report practitioners who put up truth-clarification stickers. A practitioner clarified the truth to his wife first. After his wife realized how wrong the persecution was, she asked her husband to read the materials and to stop reporting practitioners. Afterwards, he said, “This information is good, and it's the truth. Please give me more flyers, because I want to let my customers know what's going on.”
He put the materials in a prominent location in his shop and placed chairs next to them. While his customers waited for their bikes to be repaired, they sat and read the materials. He has been doing this for years. He also began following the principles of Truthfulness Compassion, and Forbearance, and his business began to flourish.
Nowadays, more people in China are getting involved in business, so we compiled stories about how businessmen were rewarded after they stopped going along with the persecution. The literature with these stories are very popular.
One lady's business was not doing well. But after reading our truth-clarification materials, she withdrew from the Party and tried her best to be a better person. Her business kept getting better and better, and she started to practice Falun Dafa.
Studying the Fa and Cultivating Ourselves
It is very important to study the Fa. Master emphasized that we must study the Fa well. In addition to studying the Fa by ourselves, we set up two Fa study groups, one in the city and another in a village.
Last May, fellow practitioners began suing former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin. Some of us thought that, since they were not persecuted directly they did not need to sue him. When practitioners from another area shared Minghui articles about the lawsuits against Jiang, they realized that all Chinese are being persecuted, and they wanted to sue him as well.
Sometimes our flyers were torn up. We looked inward and realized that it was because we hadn't cultivated well. We could not dissolve the evil elements behind ordinary people and could not eliminate the spread of propaganda that defamed Dafa.
We then realized that, if we study the Fa and cultivate ourselves well, we will have righteous thoughts, and our materials will have the power to save people.
Our groups also learned it was important to send forth righteous thoughts before we distributed truth clarification materials. If we can eliminate the evil elements so ordinary people can be in touch with their true, compassionate nature, the effect will be good and the materials won't be destroyed.
Local practitioners quickly improved, and many people were saved because of the truth-clarification material production site. In the beginning, some practitioners were fearful and dared not distribute materials. But they were able to keep up with the Fa-rectification process by studying the Fa well and sharing in our group.
There is still a lot of room for improvement. We will continue to cooperate well and do the three things asked of us.
