(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Yuping from Chifeng City has been incarcerated at Hohhot Women's Prison since November 25, 2014. She is serving four years for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her appeal to the higher court was denied.
Her son traveled more than 500 miles from Chifeng to visit her on May 9, 2016. The prison guards at first allowed him to register to see his mother, but then suddenly denied his visiting request without any explanation.
The son was stopped outside the prison gate the next day.
On the third day, he asked a person who had connections with the prison to help secure a meeting with his mother. This friend returned with the words that Ms. Liu won’t regain family visitation until she agrees to renounce Falun Gong.
Her son knows all too well that his mother would never give up practicing Falun Gong, and he couldn’t understand why a person striving to be a good person would be put behind bars. He returned home with disappointment and feeling helpless.
