(Minghui.org) I learned Falun Gong before the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Since then, I have been helped by many practitioners’ experience sharing articles. This has motivated me to share some of my experiences of telling people about Falun Gong.
Everything Is Achievable with Righteous Thoughts
Because I am a cultivator, I value the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. I have learned from experience that everything is achievable if one holds strong righteous thoughts. If one has weak thoughts, one will meet with all kinds of obstacles.
One of our neighbors was a deputy chief at the local police department and was responsible for persecuting Falun Gong, which is also called Falun Dafa. His wife worked at the procuratorate.
In the hope that they would stop persecuting practitioners, I decided to talk to the wife about Falun Gong.
“If you say Falun Gong is good,” she said, “then why is the Communist Party cracking down on it? There are television programs that broadcast information about Falun Gong every day. Haven’t you seen them? I won’t listen to you. Our job is to carry out the government’s policies.”
I sent forth righteous thoughts three times that evening and again the next morning to clear out any bad elements in the environment.
I put up two posters with the words “Falun Dafa is good” on my door. My neighbor did not insist that I remove them.
Police Officer Dies
My family moved to another city in 2002. Officials from my place of employment and the police ordered us to move back to our former home. They were afraid that I would go to Beijing to petition for the right to practice Falun Gong, which could cause them to lose their jobs.
I responded that, as a Chinese citizen, I had the freedom to choose where I wanted to live. I told them that what they were insisting on was illegal, and that if they kept persecuting good people, they would be punished by heaven
“I don’t care,” said the officer. “I'm just doing my job. I won’t be able to face my boss if you refuse to move back.”
In my mind, I asked Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong, to strengthen my righteous thoughts. They left.
That officer died in a car accident soon afterwards.
Facing Attack with Righteous Thoughts
I wanted my former co-workers to understand Falun Gong. On my way to visit them, I suddenly came down with a headache and pain throughout my body. I had a hard time breathing and threw up. I went to a fellow practitioner’s home.
It was difficult to sit, and my breathing was shallow. It was raining outside and the wind was blowing as if it was winter. I knew that the old forces were trying to keep me from telling people about Falun Gong.
I sent righteous thoughts hourly. Two days passed, and with my celestial eye, I saw a dead giant python on the street. On the morning of the third day, I was back to normal, and it was sunny outside.

Saving My Co-Workers
I moved back to my hometown after I retired, but I wanted my former co-workers and neighbors to hear the truth about Falun Gong. It took ten hours to reach the city where I had worked, and I stayed at a fellow practitioner’s house. We shared experiences and sent righteous thoughts.
Two days later, I went to the home of one my former colleagues. He did not want to hear anything about Falun Gong and had verbally abused another practitioner in the past, so I sent righteous thoughts before I talked to him. Five of his family members decided to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I visited each house and talked about Falun Gong, and entire families quit the CCP. Then I walked through the city streets, markets, and counties, as well as nearby cities to help people quit the CCP.
The local police heard that I had returned. They ordered detectives to monitor me around the clock. I ignored them and just sent forth righteous thoughts more often. Within two weeks, I helped 142 people quit the CCP.
Changing My Approach
It was not easy to walk the streets and talk to people about Falun Gong. Sometimes people threatened to report me. I thought that if I could open a business, it would be easier to talk to my clients than walking the streets.
After a failed start with a grocery store and a loss of money, I opened a tailor shop in April 2008. My business grew, and I helped many people quit the CCP.
Every day I studied the Falun Gong lectures in the morning, did the exercises in the evening, and sent righteous thoughts hourly throughout the day. I asked Master to guide more people to my shop, so that they could have a chance to listen to the truth and quit the CCP.
I operated the tailor shop for six years and was given many opportunities to help people quit the CCP.
Two Stories about Clarifying the Truth
Five students came to my shop, because their teacher had recommended me. I was known for doing a good job. In addition, I charged less than other tailors. I talked to them about Falun Gong and the persecution. All of them quit the CCP and the associated organizations they had joined.
A woman who had retired from the military came to my shop. I chatted with her briefly and then started to talk about Falun Gong. She was a CCP member and refused to listen to anything about Falun Gong. She verbally attacked me, using lies broadcast by the communist regime. I told her that it would be best if she did not repeat those lies.
She came to my shop again, walking with a cane. She explained that her leg was injured a day after she left my shop, and that it had not gotten better in the month since.
I suggested to her that she had been punished for using abusive language. This time, she took my advice and quit the CCP. I asked her to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She returned with her son, who also quit the CCP.
Graduate Student Quits the Party
A graduate student needed some clothes altered. We talked for over an hour, and I clarified the truth to him.
I let him know that the CCP teaches how to kill and harm people, and that the Party has killed 80 million Chinese in its political movements since it came to power.
I warned him that everyone who has joined the CCP and its youth organizations will be punished with it when it falls, because they made a vow to give their lives to the Party.
He quit the Party using his real name.
