(Minghui.org) For the past several years a group of Israeli Falun Gong practitioners has been promoting documentary films about the persecution of Falun Gong in China to different organizations in Israel. The films have also been recently shown on cable TV.

The practitioners promote the documentaries to a variety of organizations, cultural clubs, associations, schools, etc. After continuous outreach, thousands of Israelis have learned about Falun Gong via hundreds of such screenings.

Sometimes after a screening, audience members invite the practitioners to show the film to yet another group.

“Free China: The Courage to Believe” and other films were screened in cinemas in Tel Aviv and other cities

The documentary “Free China: The Courage to Believe” was presented to the Israeli Parliament. Several of the parliament members were interviewed by NTD Television afterward, and the interviews were broadcast to China.

In recent months, documentaries about the persecution of Falun Gong were broadcast on three cable TV channels in Israel for the first time. “YES TV - Documentary Channel” bought and broadcast the movie “Hard to Believe” and broadcast it again on May 1. “HOT TV - Channel 8” bought and broadcast the movie “Human Harvest.” The Israeli Arabic language TV station “HALA TV” broadcast “Human Harvest” and “Transcending Fear” with Arabic translation.

While it’s hard to estimate the precise effect of such TV broadcasts, as a result of viewing these programs, more and more people have become aware of the atrocities being committed in China.

Before the TV broadcasts, the documentaries were promoted via Facebook and other avenues, and the information reached many people in Israel and abroad.

These movies have been shown more than ten times in Tel Aviv cinemas. The practitioners also arranged a number of screenings in cinemas in other cities throughout Israel.

Generally, after the cinema screenings, there are a lot of questions from audience members. Some people are shocked by the atrocities committed by the Chinese regime against Falun Gong. Some have a hard time believing that such terrible crimes are taking place, especially the live organ harvesting of imprisoned practitioners. However, as the issue has become more widely known, there are fewer skeptics.

The practitioners plan to reach out to larger organizations and larger TV stations so that more people in Israel, and the world, can learn about what is happening to Falun Gong in China.
