(Minghui.org) A young military officer began following a middle-aged woman on a dark winter night when he saw her posting information about Falun Gong. Under the persecution, this scenario often leads to an unlawful arrest. However, this young officer saluted her and left without tipping off the police. He changed his mind after she explained why she had to inform the public of the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong.
Below is this Falun Gong practitioner's account of her encounter with the young soldier.

I was putting up posters about the movement in which thousands are filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin on the streets one winter night, when I noticed a young man following me.
I tried to shake him off by walking faster, but he followed me everywhere. It was already very dark outside. I thought of boarding the bus and changing buses several times to get rid of him.
When I reached the bus stop, the young man took out his phone. I decided that I must stop him.
While saying a prayer for help, I walked up to him calmly and asked, “Why do you keep following me, young man?”
He replied, “I was following you to see what you have been putting up on the streets.”
I told him that the posters were about the lawsuits against Jiang.
He said that this was a problem, as he is a former Chinese Communist Party leader.
“I'm sure you know the law in China. If a citizen commits a crime, he will be punished under the law. Same goes for Jiang. All are equal before the law,” I replied.
I continued to tell him that there is no legal basis for the persecution, a spiritual discipline based on Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
He interrupted me, “I don't believe in spiritual stuff. I only believe in science.”
I figured it was time to share with him the story of my miraculous recovery.
“Before I learned Falun Gong, I had muscular atrophy at the age of 30. I went to all sorts of hospitals and clinics and spent a lot of money. One veteran doctor told me not to get treatment anymore, as nothing in our country could cure my illness. I was in agony at that time and lost all hope.”
I continued, “I kept on suffering until June 1998, when I started practicing Falun Gong. It cured all my illnesses without me spending a single cent or taking any medicine. It was like a dream come true.”
He remained silent for a little bit, before saying, “But I still don't believe the CCP commits horrendous crimes against Falun Gong practitioners as displayed on the posters.”
I then told him about the harrowing experience I had in police custody because of my refusal to renounce Falun Gong.
“I was arrested in 2004 and taken to a brainwashing center for distributing materials. I refused to disclose my name or address. Finally, the head of the brainwashing center came and begged me to say something. He pleaded, 'I'm trying to save you! You only have three days left before you disappear from this world if you don't say a word.'”
I asked the young soldier, “Think about it. What does 'disappear' mean? Many practitioners were tortured to death or had their organs removed while still alive. The CCP can make people disappear without a trace. Isn't that scary?”
I continued to tell him that Jiang uses all means to arrest and persecute Falun Gong practitioners, disregarding the law in the process.
The young man seemed to have understood and said, “I'm a soldier.” He saluted me and left without a word.
