(Minghui.org) Practitioners in my Fa-study group have persisted in face-to-face truth-clarification about Falun Dafa in parks and markets. Throughout all these years, we have studied the Fa before we've left our homes.
Many people have listened to us and understood that Falun Dafa is great, while others have refused to listen. However, our efforts have now taken root and more people are no longer afraid to listen and accept the facts about Dafa.
Retired Policeman Finally Heard the Facts
Practitioner C and I saw a man exercising with some different moves in a park. While C sent forth righteous thoughts, I approached him and asked what kind of exercises he was doing. He told me that he was getting older and needed to keep fit.
This was a great opportunity to talk about the people who had come down with illnesses only to recover after they recited “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
The man said, “Are you promoting Falun Dafa? I just retired from the city's police department, and I was in charge of persecuting Falun Dafa.”
I was startled but calmed down right away. I said, “It is our predestined relationship that brought us together today, so I need to tell you some things that will help you to understand Falun Dafa.”
I talked about the violence and corruption evidenced by the country's much disliked public security and judicial system. I talked about Zhou Yongkang's imprisonment, which was followed by the repentance of many persecutors of Falun Dafa in the public security and judicial system.
I told him about accounts of karmic retribution received by those who persecuted Falun Dafa, as well as of blessings of those who treated practitioners kindly.
He listened ever intently when I talked about Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese leader, and those who follow his dictates. I talked about the crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners for profit, and mentioned the heavenly principle that if humankind does not do something about it, heaven will.
“Soon, Jiang will face a trial and the CCP will be eliminated,” I said. “One can only be spared from the disaster by quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and sincerely reciting 'Falun Dafa is Good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good!'”
He said that he had not heard about all that I told him. He accepted the Falun Dafa materials practitioner C gave him and quit the CCP using his real name.
Watching him leave, Master's poem occurred to me:
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in springRighteous thoughts can save the people in this world” (“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos” from Hong Yin, Volume II)
Am I Still Savable?
A man sat on a bench looking worried. I asked him if I could sit next to him and he agreed. I started to chat with him and found out that he was a retiree from the city's Forestry Administration. He said he now faced financial difficulties because of his illnesses.
We talked about the decline of social morality, corrupt officials, and the deterioration of the environment. We talked about food and water contamination threatening human health, and how some illnesses have no cure.
He expressed his hopelessness, so I said, “Unusual illnesses have to be treated with unusual methods. Be confident and cheerful; then you will find a way.”
I told him about a coworker who had been diagnosed with an incurable disease. This person listened to a friend's suggestion and started to practice Falun Dafa. “He recovered and is still alive today,” I said.
“What you're talking about is forbidden by the Party,” he said. “I've heard of it. Someone also gave me a pamphlet about Falun Dafa just today, and I threw it away.”
This made me very sad and I wanted to leave. However, Master's Fa occurred to me: “It is your responsibility to save people, and something that every Dafa disciple must do.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Fa Conference”)
I corrected my thoughts and talked to him with compassion. “That pamphlet is so precious that there is no amount of money that could equal its worth. It was gifted to you to save you, and it was made using money saved by Dafa disciples living frugally. In addition, Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries and is respected by many people.”
I told him about the quitting the Party movement. He seemed to come around, and in return, he asked me, “Am I still savable?”
“Yes,” I said. “There's still time to repent. It would be good if you looked for the pamphlet that you had thrown away.”
He immediately walked toward a big blue garbage can, bent down, and searched for the pamphlet. He indeed found it, and looking relieved, he wiped it clean, flattened the corners, and handed it to me respectfully with both hands.
While saying goodbye, he held my hands for a long time. “I will often recite 'Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good'” he said. “I will tell my family what you have told me here, and I will be respectful toward Dafa.”
