(Minghui.org) I was illegally arrested by local police on November 16, 2015 and detained for ten days after I sued Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
Upon returning to my work unit, my supervisor told me: “This is the second time you've been detained because you filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Our company belongs to the central government. You may be fired if we decide to do so.”
I was not affected by his words. Instead I thought that everything was ultimately decided by Master.
One month later, the party head and principal of my work unit reprimanded me.
The principal told me: “You’d better not participate in any Falun Gong activities, including posting Shen Yun posters and suing Jiang Zemin. I know you work hard and do a good job, and that you are a good person. Why do you want to practice Falun Gong?”
I said: “Nobody is forcing me to practice Falun Gong. It was my own choice to practice Falun Gong and to conduct myself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I treat people with kindness, and I am always considerate of others. Isn’t that good?”
I continued, “Practicing Falun Gong has enabled me to have a healthy body, work hard and to be kind. What’s wrong with that? Falun Gong is practiced in over 100 countries around the world. If Falun Gong were not good, why would so many people want to practice it?”
The principal countered: “Falun Gong promotes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance abroad, which is very good and is not political. But I have received letters written by Falun Gong practitioners that sound like political opposition to the CCP. That is not allowed.”
The principal also mentioned the Tiananmen self-immolation hoax and the April 25 peaceful appeal. I explained to him that both events were staged by the CCP to smear the reputation of Falun Gong.
The party head continued: “The principal and I had planned to convince you to give up practicing, but you've clearly explained the facts about Falun Gong to us.”
I filed a formal complaint letter to the local government to protect my human rights on January 11, 2016. The next day, I received return mail confirming that they accepted the complaint.
A copy of my letter was also mailed to my work unit two weeks later. My company's party head then summoned me to his office. I sent righteous thoughts on the way to ask Master for help.
The party head told me that the 610 Office (an organization formed to persecute Falun Gong) had complained to him about my letter.
I told him the local police had detained me for ten days with the excuse that I committed acts to “undermine social order.” But they could not show me any laws or documents which proved that what I did undermined anything. I said it was the policemen who were undermining the law.
I also pointed out that the local city government had returned my letter to our company, which was also against the law. I told him that the police even openly say they never follow the law when persecuting Falun Gong.
“So you tell me who is good and who is evil? There is not a single law that says practicing Falun Gong is illegal.”
The party head still insisted that Falun Gong was banned in China.
The party head told me that he was carrying out the 610 Office leader's order to take away my bonus; ask me to formally denounce Falun Gong; and force me to watch DVDs and read books that slander Falun Gong.
I told him that I would not do any of those things.
I left his office and went back to my work unit. The unit leader told me that our company may not be given a five-star rating, and the two thousand employees may be denied bonuses because I sued Jiang Zemin and sent a protest letter to the government.
The principal said all my supervisors received letters and phone calls from many people and admitted, “Some told us not to persecute you. I asked your leader not to take away your bonus, but you have to write a statement renouncing your practice and watch the DVDs and books prepared by the 610 Office.”
I told him firmly that I refuse to denounce Falun Gong.
The principal said: “Yes, it is impossible for you to give up Falun Gong now.”
However, I did write a letter explaining how I've benefited from practicing Falun Gong and submitted it to the party head. He took it, saying: “If it does not meet my requirements, I will talk to you.”
But he did not talk to me again.
A grand meeting was held on January 28, 2016 to announce the model employee and model work unit awards. Our unit leader, principal and supervisor were all voted to receive the honor. Every company employee also received a two thousand yuan bonus.
In conclusion, many fellow practitioners helped me dissolve the evil persecution. Some sent righteous thoughts; some mailed letters to the perpetrators; while some made telephone calls. With Master’s help, the persecution was eliminated completely.
