Additional Persecution News from China – March 25, 2016 (Part I, 21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 13 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 44 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Heimei Arrested

Ms. Yang Heimei, from Huangxikou Town, Chenxi County, was reported to the police by Yuan Guangyu, Huangxikou Residential Committee personnel when she distributed Falun Gong informational materials in the town on March 15, 2015. She was arrested by officers from the county 610 Office and the police station. She has returned home.

2. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Fengqin and Wife Ms. Cao Chunqin Detained

Mr. Wang Fengqin and his wife Ms. Cao Chunqin from the Laicheng District were arrested by officers from the Xiaoyi Police Station when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the Guojiazhuang area on the afternoon of March 7, 2016. The couple was held in the Beibu Detention Center for 15 days. They were extorted 700 yuan for physical exams and 1,050 yuan for living expenses.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ji Chunling Detained

Ms. Ji Chunling, 43, was arrested and taken to the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center in October 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Her home was ransacked.

4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Xiuzhen Arrested

Ms. Jiang Xiuzhen, from Caochang Village, Duqiao Town, Jing County, was reported to the police when she talked to people about Falun Gong in Fotai Village, Duqiao Town on the afternoon of March 23, 2016. She was arrested by a deputy director and other officers from the Duqiao Town Police Station.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Liang and Ms. Zhou Liyu Arrested

Mr. Wang Liang and Ms. Zhou Liyu from the Zhangdian District were arrested at home by plainclothes officers on the morning of March 22, 2016. Mr. Wang's mother was beaten, and her face covered with bruises. The whereabouts of Mr. Wang and Ms. Zhou are unknown.

6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shufen Detained

Ms. Zhang Shufen from Liutaizhuang Town in Changli County was arrested by officers from the Liutaizhuang Police Station when she distributed Falun Gong informational materials at a farmers market on March 13, 2016. She was taken to the Changli Detention Center.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Meng Lidong from Fuyu County was arrested when she was teaching in her classroom by officers from the Xinhua Police Station in Fuyu County on the morning of March 21, 2016.

Ms. Sun Jingjie and Ms. Ma Yan, employees at the Fuyu County Trade and Industry Bureau, were arrested separately by officers from the Tiedong Police Station and the Xinhua Police Station on the morning of March 21, 2016.

Ms. Dong Guifeng from Shaowen Township was arrested by officers from Shaowen Township around noon on March 23, 2016.

The four practitioners are held in the Fuyu County Detention Center.

8. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhifeng, Ms. Zhou Xiuqi, and two other practitioners were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Wendeng Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of March 23, 2016. The four practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Taiqing Detained

Ms. Luo Taiqing, 59, from Baisha Town in the Jiangjin District, was arrested by officers from the Baisha Police Station on September 15, 2015. She was held in the Jiangjin Detention Center.

10. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhu Quanying Arrested

Ms. Zhu Quanying from Lianqiao Village in Pengxi County was arrested at home by Huang Liang and other officers from the Chicheng Police Station on December 17, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a cell phone, over 100 yuan in cash, Falun Gong books, and printed materials. She has returned home.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Qijian and Mr. Wang Ge Arrested

Mr. Wang Qijia and Mr. Wang Ge were arrested by plainclothes officers on March 9, 2016. It was reported that Mr. Wang Qijia has returned home. Mr. Wang Ge is held in the Changchun No.1 Detention Center.

12. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Han Min Detained

Ms. Han Min from the Penghu District was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on the evening of March 11, 2016. She is held in the Chenzhuang Detention Center.

13. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Xiaoming and Mr. Yu Chunxue Detained

Mr. Yang Xiaoming and Mr. Yu Chunxue were arrested on the evening of March 11, 2016 for posting Falun Gong informational materials. Both were taken to the Dalang Detention Center.

14. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Tang Zhongbi Arrested

Ms. Tang Zhongbi from the Qinghai Petroleum Base in Qili Town was arrested at home by the police.

15. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Yang Jie Taken Into Police Custody

Ms. Yang Jie was arrested at her friend's home in Qingtongxia City within Wuzhong City, by about twelve officers from the Qingtongxia Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of March 23, 2016. Ms. Yang and her friend were held in the Chengguan Police Station in Xiaoba Town.

16. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Cai Jinrong and Ms. Feng Xiaoping Arrested

Mr. Cai Jinrong from the Chencang District was arrested by the local police in early March 2016. His home was ransacked. His whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Feng Xiaoping from the Chencang District was arrested at home by plainclothes officers who were staked outside her home on March 8, 2016.

17. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Chengge Detained

Ms. Chen Chengge, from Caowa Village, Huangji Township, Yuncheng County, was arrested at home by a group of domestic security officers on the morning of March 23, 2016. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books and printed materials. Ms. Chen was taken to the Juye County Detention Center in the neighboring county.

18. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Liu Lexiang and Mr. Zhang Heping Detained

Ms. Liu Lexiang and Ms. Zhang Heping were arrested by officers from the Sanlian Police Station in the Shushan District on the afternoon of March 23, 2016. Both practitioners were detained for five days.

19. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Ren Xiaoqing Placed in Criminal Detention

Ms. Ren Xiaoqing was arrested in front of her door by plainclothes officers on the morning of March 1, 2016. The officers ransacked her home. She was taken to the Xiaodian District No. 2 Detention Center for criminal detention.

20. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zheng Minghui, his wife Ms. Peng Peishan, and a female practitioner A'mei, who is from Jiangsu Province, were arrested and taken to the Shipaotai Police Station in the Jinping District on March 23, 2016. The officers confiscated a desktop computer, an Android set-top box, several cell phone SIM cards, and several cell phones.

21. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Over Fifty Practitioners Arrested

Between March 21 and 22, 2016, over 50 practitioners from the Zhangdian District were arrested or detained by officers from the Zibo City 610 Office and local police stations. Thirteen of those arrested are: Mr. Huang Futang and his wife, Mr. Wang Dong, Mr. Fang Kuanfeng, Ms. Wang Lihong, Mr. Wang Changqing, Mr. Zhang Meng, Mr. Yao Qian, Mr. Zhang Wei (non-practitioner), Mr. Lian Bo, Ms. Bi Zhongmei, Mr. Niu Qingquan, and Mr. Hu.
