(Minghui.org) I'm a seventy-three-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. I used to have more than 10 diseases before I started practicing, The following are some of my experiences of pulling through karma tribulations under Master's compassionate protection.
At the end of 1994, just four months after I started practicing Falun Dafa, I began eliminating karma. I was swollen all over, and my face looked green. My family was frightened and wanted to send me to a hospital. Zhuan Falun hadn't been published yet so I didn't know much about cultivating my xinxing. I only did the exercises. I began wavering and wondered if I was eliminating karma or if this were one of my diseases. In the end, I didn't go to a hospital.
Seven months passed, and my symptoms of mitral stenosis, mitral regurgitation, rheumatic heart disease, heart failure, cor pulmonale, atrial fibrillation and bronchitis still weren't gone. I told Master, “If I don't have the predestined relationship with Dafa, and miss this opportunity, I won't blame Master or Dafa. If I do the surgery and survive, I will continue cultivating.”
I wrote a will and left it with my family. It stated, “Please tell our family that in case I die during surgery, you can't blame Master, or Dafa. It's all because I haven't cultivated myself well.”
The day before my surgery, the doctor said, “You don't have to have surgery if you don't want it.” I didn't realize that Master was trying to give me a hint. I said, “I borrowed money for the surgery. Isn't it wrong if I don't have it?” The doctor said, “Okay we'll schedule it for tomorrow.”
Even though I was given a sedative and some sleeping pills the evening before my surgery, I couldn't sleep all night and I didn't feel tired the next day. The nurse was surprised. I realized later that Dafa was displaying supernormal powers.
My Heart Stopped Beating for 7-8 Minutes
During the surgery my mitral valve was replaced with a thick metal valve. My surgeon told me miracles happened twice during my surgery.
According to the surgeon, as soon as my chest was cut open, and before he could do anything, both my heart and my lungs stopped. After a few minutes, my heart resumed beating. It happened again when they took out the heart pacer. This time it stopped for 7 to 8 minutes. The surgeon was about to pronounce me dead, when my heart suddenly started beating again. The surgeon wrapped up the surgery, and kept me in observation for more than an hour before letting them take me to recovery.
It's very rare for anyone to survive for 7 to 8 minutes with no heart beat. The surgeon said he had never seen it happen. I know Master must have suffered a huge tribulation for me and saved me from death.
I resumed cultivating after the surgery. I have been healthy since then, and haven't taken any medicine or been hospitalized for 20 years. My doctor told me I'm supposed to take a certain medicine every day and I needed to have surgery in 10 years to replace the metal valve. However, I've been fine without medicine or the replacement surgery for 20 years. My daughter was worried and consulted a hospital. The doctor was very surprised I was healthy without any medical attention for so long.
Stroke Symptoms Gone on Second Day
When the persecution of Falun Dafa was launched in 1999, my husband was strongly opposed to my practicing. He began verbally abusing me. My salary was the main source of my family's income. After I was fired for practicing Falun Dafa, we lost our only source of income, and could hardly make ends meet.
The pressure was tremendous, but I was determined to resist the persecution. I knew Falun Dafa practitioners weren't doing anything wrong, and I shouldn't accept this form of financial persecution. I talked to the supervisors at my workplace about Falun Dafa. However, I still had attachments to arguing my point, defending my self-interests, and had complaints. These strong attachments and my lack of righteous thoughts didn't help with my truth clarification, but instead manifested as sickness karma.
A few nights later, around 2:00 a.m., I suddenly felt very heavy. I couldn't move, and if I tried I was in excruciating pain. I was so dizzy that I couldn't open my eyes. I couldn't talk either. When my daughter-in-law heard me moan, and asked how I was, I couldn't utter a word. She and my husband wanted to send me to a hospital. I gathered all my strength to indicate “No”. I silently begged Master to help me.
My husband called our daughter and son-in-law and they hurried over in a taxi. My whole family was kept busy as I threw up and had loose bowels. As soon as I could talk, I asked my daughter to call my fellow practitioners. I was determined to deny the old forces' persecution.
Fellow practitioners came to my home and sent forth righteous thoughts for me. I soon felt fine. The next day, I was able to get up and go outside. I noticed my right foot moved in circles as I walked. This was typical after a stroke. I stopped, and started sending forth righteous thoughts. I stomped my right foot twelve times. My foot stopped moving in circles when I began walking again.
It's exactly as Master said,
“When disciples have ample righteous thoughtsMaster has the power to turn back the tide” ("The Master-Disciple Bond" from Hong Yin Volume II))
Toothache Disppears
One day around Chinese New Year in 2004, I suddenly had a terrible toothache. It was so bad that I couldn't eat or sleep. I couldn't bear the severe pain and started crying.
Master's words came to my mind,
“Dafa disciples continually cultivate they eliminate their karma and constantly transform their bodies into divine bodies.” ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference" from Teaching the Fa at the Conference III)
It suddenly dawned on me, “I'm a Dafa disciple! My body is being transformed into a divine body. I don't have any sickness. It only appears that I have a toothache. I have to eliminate this interference.” While I focused on this thought, I fell asleep. I had a dream in which Master pulled three pieces of red thread from my teeth. When I woke up, my “toothache” was gone. My children were amazed!
I personally experienced the manifestation of Falun Dafa's power. For example, I went on a hunger strike for 11 days when I was illegally detained for practicing. Even though I lost some weight, I felt energetic. The jailers witnessed Dafa's power. Another example is as I aged, my hair thinned and I was balding. But before I knew it, I began growing dark, thick hair.
All my experiences show how wonderful and great Falun Dafa is! I was able to break through one tribulation after another under Master's compassionate protection!
