(Minghui.org) Twenty people, assigned by the Shaoxing City 610 Office, have taken turns detaining Ms. Wang Wenjun in her house since March 23, 2016. The reason? This 54-year-old Falun Gong practitioner refuses to go to their office for a talk. The authorities have turned off all the power and gas to her home, stopped all grocery and water deliveries and refuse to allow anyone to see her.

Ms. Wang was illegally sentenced to four years in prison in 2001 for refusing to give up her belief in Falun Gong. When the 610 Office heard that the Party Secretary Xi Jinping was coming to nearby Hangzhou City for a meeting on March 23, 2016, officers from the local 610 Office demanded that Ms. Wang go with them to their office.
They planned to have her submit a guarantee statement, promising that she would not protest or appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Ms. Wang refused.
The officers immediately put her under home arrest, and stopped the delivery of food or water. Her husband is away from home on a trip, and her present condition is unknown.
Falun Gong practitioners are routinely harassed in Shaoxing City. In June 2015, the 610 Office organized a brainwashing center in Xinchang County, Shaoxing City. They arrested 10 practitioners and brought them to the center.
