(Minghui.org) After I retired from the army, as a veteran I was employed as a director by the provincial government. I have many relatives and friends who work in public security, the Procuratorate, and the court system. Over the years, I told them about the criminal nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the righteousness of Falun Dafa.
Director General: “It's the CCP's fault, not Falun Dafa's fault”
A former army buddy of mine is now a director general of a township. We used to be in the same army unit and established a good working relationship. When I ran into him after we retired, I told him that I practiced Falun Dafa.
He told me that he knew I was a nice person.
I said, “Please don't believe the propaganda put out by the communist regime--it’s all lies. Whoever defends Dafa will be rewarded. Please believe me.”
He said he would not persecute or malign Dafa. Then I asked him to quit the CCP and its affiliated organization, and he agreed.
He has not once maligned Dafa, and because of his positive attitude, his employees have a positive understanding of Dafa.
Another time we shared a table at a wedding reception. Someone who worked in a police department walked up to him, pointed at me, and said to him that I practiced Falun Dafa. This director general cut him off and said, “Stop. It's not wrong for him to practice Falun Dafa. It's the CCP's fault, not Falun Dafa's fault.” All 10 guests at the table repeated after him, “It's the CCP's fault, not Falun Dafa's.”
Then, I clarified the truth about Dafa to those at my table. That person who tried to get me into trouble kept quiet. After dinner he told me, “Now I understand. From now on, I will not take part in the persecution of Falun Dafa.” When I met him again, he showed a positive attitude towards Dafa and agreed to quit the CCP.
Delighted to Be Given a Dafa Amulet
A friend at a university used to worry about me because of my poor health. After I began to practice Dafa in September 1996, I became very healthy. I told him about the extraordinary powers of Dafa and and he encouraged me to practice it.
The CCP started persecuting Falun Dafa in July 1999. He told me that practicing Falun Dafa was allowed in other countries, which meant that Falun Dafa was good. “You can keep practicing if you think that it is good. But do pay attention to your safety.” I was very moved by his words.
He gave a party in May 2015 and invited me. While helping him prepare dinner, I talked about the problems in society and said that I had brought him a Dafa amulet. He said, “Great! Please give it to me now, so you don't forget.”
He took it with both hands, read it carefully, and repeated, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Then he put it in his pocket.
Director: One Can Discern Truth from Lies
At a house-warming party for a former fellow soldier, I met my old commander, who is now a director in the Provincial Police Department. I greeted him using his old army title and shook hands with him.
After I found an opportunity to talk with him alone, I told him how I had benefited from Falun Dafa and that it was an upright cultivation way. He said, “Yes, in fact, we are aware of such things, too. After looking at things carefully and analyzing them, one is able to discern good from bad and truth from lies. I support your practice of Falun Dafa. You must be careful to avoid being persecuted.”
Then I told him to quit the CCP and he did without hesitation.
Retired Commander: Look Out for Your Safety
One day at a market, I ran into a retired army commander. I asked him to join me at a quiet place.
“I'm very happy that I ran into you today,” I said. “I served under you for many years, and you know me well. I'd like to tell you a truth: Falun Dafa is blameless. Please quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. Society’s degeneration has incurred the wrath of heaven and earth. If you quit the Party, you would distance yourself from it.”
He quit and told me to be careful and look out for my safety. Before leaving I asked him to recite 'Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good!' during troubled times.
Former Comrade: “I never harass them”
Another old army buddy invited a lot of people to his son's wedding. At the reception, I ran into another former buddy who works in a police station. I asked him to chat with me in a quiet spot.
He knew that I practiced Falun Dafa, so I said, “Falun Dafa teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and become a better person. Falun Dafa has benefited people mentally and physically. Please do not believe the media propaganda. Never assist the evil to do evil.”
He told me that he had come across practitioners and that they were all very nice.
He said that, every year on World Falun Dafa Day and the day the CCP started the persecution, his superior ordered everyone to monitor practitioners.
I asked him, “Please stop interfering, persecuting, or harassing Falun Dafa practitioners from now on.”
He said, “I never harass them. I just go through the formalities by taking a look at their buildings, and then I go back to tell my boss that it's done.”
I said, “You've done the right thing. Treating Falun Dafa practitioners with kindness will be rewarded.” Then I asked him to quit the CCP and he did.
Keep It Confidential
The above are just a few examples of how I have been successful in telling government officials about Dafa and asking them to quit the CCP.
First, clarify the facts about Dafa and the persecution in detail and then explain why they should quit the Party.
These people typically work in public security, Procuratorates, and the courts, as well as Party and government offices and military or police systems. They have titles, power, and influence. After they understand the truth, they can influence those who work under them and play positive roles.
It is relatively easy to clarify the truth to these people and persuade them to quit the Party, because they are well educated and have the ability to analyze and judge things. They can discern good from evil, and, as soon as they understand the truth, they are likely to make the right choice.
It is safe to clarify the truth to these people when they have known you for some time. It would be more difficult for strangers to come into contact with people in these positions. However, as their acquaintance, they would not report you. None of those I spoke to has reported me.
Pay attention to the approach and methods you use to clarify the facts to them. Because of their special positions, they tend to be proud, self-centered, and guarded. They tend to speak ambiguously and diplomatically, so that others won’t know too much about them. Therefore, to clarify the truth to them, consider their ability of comprehension and endurance.
Most importantly, it is best to clarify the facts to them on a one-on-one basis and promise them you will keep it confidential. Only then do they let their guard down and agree to quit the Party.
We also must genuinely let go of ourselves when clarifying the truth to people in these positions. That will produce good results.
