Teacher Sues Jiang Zemin for Her Physician-Husband's Imprisonment and Her Involuntary Displacement

March 29, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Henan Province, China

(Minghui.org) While her husband is still imprisoned for his faith, a teacher from Xinxiang City has had to quit her job and live away from home to avoid a similar fate.

Both Ms. Ye Huiming, a teacher at Xinxiang City Judicial Officials' School, and her husband, Mr. Xu Faling, practice Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. The couple has been repeatedly arrested over the past 17 years for refusing to give up their faith.

Mr. Xu was sentenced to 6.5 years following his arrest in August 2010 and is now serving his term in Zhengzhou Prison. Prior to his latest imprisonment, he was twice given forced labor.

Ms. Ye was last arrested on July 15, 2014, and detained for four days without food or water. She was forced to pay 3,000 yuan before being released on bail. She quit her job and left home when she learned that her case had been forwarded to the Weibin District Procuratorate in January 2015, which, by law, means she will likely be tried for her faith.

Ms. Ye recovered from debilitating rheumatoid arthritis after she began the practice of Falun Gong in 1997, but her happy and healthy life was shattered after former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin launched the persecution two years later.

Ms. Ye mailed out her criminal complaints against Jiang in June 2015, holding him responsible for her husband's imprisonment and her involuntary displacement.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator. The law also allows people to file reporting criminal cases without need of using true names.
