(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Kaidong Arrested

Mr. Liu Kaidong was displaced from his hometown IN Fuyu County, Qiqihar City. He was arrested by officers from the Chengfeng Police Department in Daqing City on the afternoon of February 26, 2016.

2. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhang Chunxian Arrested

Mr. Zhang Chunxian was arrested by officers from the Sangong Police Station in the Xinshi District at noon on February 26, 2016, for mailing letters with information about Falun Gong.

3. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Mingxia and Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Mingxia and other practitioners from Qishan County were arrested by officers from the Baoji City 610 Office and the local police station on February 26, 2016.

4. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Chunquan Arrested

Mr. Liu Chunquan was arrested by the Xiangtan County Domestic Secretary Division on February 25, 2016.

5. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Zhang Lianhong Arrested

Mr. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Zhang Lianhong were arrested and taken to the Shachengnan Police Station by Xinbaoan Police Station officers on February 26, 2016. Both practitioners were handcuffed, interrogated, and forced to have their fingerprints taken. They were released the following day.

6. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Qing, Ms. Gao Jingyun, Ms. Huang Lihua, and Ms. Yang Shujun were arrested by officers from the Shangjia Town Police Station when they were talking people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 26, 2016. The four practitioners are now in the Zhaodong City Detention Center.

7. [Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiao Qiuwen and Mr. Liu Wang Arrested

Ms. Xiao Qiuwen and Mr. Liu Wang were taken into custody at the Nanchang Train Station on the afternoon of February 18, 2016, when station staff checked their ID cards. Both have returned home.

8. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Li Peng Arrested

Mr. Li Peng, from Jujia Village, Gaojia Town, the Weibin District, was arrested by five or six plainclothes officers from the Weibin Police Department on his way home after picking up his child on February 26, 2016. His current whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Nie Xiuchun Detained

Ms. Nie Xiuchun from Haiyang Sub-Farm, Chahayang Farm, Gannan County, was arrested by officers from the Qiqihar Reclamation Authority Police Department on December 21, 2015. She was taken to the Qiqihar No. 1 Detention Center.

10. [Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Xing Sentenced

Mr. Wang Xing from the Guangfeng District was arrested by Guangfeng District police on October 2, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. He was held in the Guangfeng District Detention Center. He was tried secretly on February 23, 2016, in the Guangfeng District Court, which will announce the sentence in three months.
