Additional Persecution News from China – February 16, 2016 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 were illegally arrested.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Han Yuman Arrested
2. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Yuyan Detained
3. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yuqing Arrested
4. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
5. [Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Guihua and Her Daughter Detained
6. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Detained
7. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hu Xinming Sentenced
8.[Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Hehua and Ms. Wei Qingzhen Arrested

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Han Yuman Arrested

Mr. Han Yuman was arrested by officers from the Bianfang Police Station on February 15, 2016, for posting stickers about Falun Gong.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Yuyan Detained

Ms. Zhao Yuyan, 56, was arrested and her home was ransacked on February 11, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in the Shunyi Detention Center.

3. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yuqing Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuqing was arrested at home by Yang Wanjin (杨万金) and officers from the Erdaowan Town Police Station on February 15, 2016. She was taken to a detention center, which refused to accept her.

4. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners, including Ms. Jiang Kun, were arrested by police officers from the Longwang Town Police Station on February 11, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated their car. They were taken to Nangan County Detention Center.

5. [Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Guihua and Her Daughter Detained

Ms. Liu Guihua, 50, and her daughter were arrested at the Pingyao Railway Station on February 13, 2016, for having Falun Gong books and approximately 100 yuan in paper currency with messages about Falun Gong written with them. They are still detained.

6. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Five practitioners were arrested by officers from the Yundian Town Police Station on January 30, 2016. They are: Mr. Luo Jiping, Ms. Dong Xiuqiong, Mr. Ma Lingxian, Ms. Shen Jiafeng, and Ms. Zheng Qiong. They are detained in the Huili County Detention Center.

7. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hu Xinming Sentenced

Mr. Hu Xinming was sentenced to a three-year prison term on February 2, 2016.

He was arrested by officers from the Shibu Police Station on June 12, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is still detained in the Changyi Detention Center, and family visits are not allowed.

8.[Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xu Hehua and Ms. Wei Qingzhen Arrested

Ms. Xu Hehua and Ms. Wei Qingzhen were arrested and taken to the Fucheng Police Station on February 16, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Xu escaped.
