(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Duyun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Jiang Hui Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Jiang Hui was arrested on November 4, 2014 and held in the Duyun City Detention Center, where her family was not allowed to visit her. She was then secretly sentenced to three years in prison. She was taken to the No. 4 Ward of the Guizhou Province No. 1 Women's Prison.

2. [Linhai City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wu Sumei and Ms. Wu Suyue Detained

Ms. Wu Sumei and Ms. Wu Suyue were arrested by officers from the Linhai City Domestic Security Division between November 8 and 9, 2015. Both are now held in the Linhai City Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Hu Weixue, Mr. Chen Junjie, Ms. Yuan Wen, and two new practitioners were arrested on January 13, 2016. They are being held in the Tiantongyuan Police Station.

4. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Song Ying, Ms. Zhang Xiaoyuan, and Mr. Zhang Hui were arrested and taken to a police station when they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials on January 2, 2016. The police ransacked Ms. Song's home and confiscated a copy machine, a cell phone, and printed materials. The three practitioners are in a detention center.

5. [Zhangbei County, Hebei Province] Mr. Du Genyue Detained

Mr. Du Genyue was arrested at home by officers from the Zhangbei County Police Department on the morning of January 15, 2016. He is being held in the Zhangbei County Detention Center.

6. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiangting Placed Under Administrative Detention

Ms. Li Xiangting was arrested by Zhen Haidong, head of the Yongnian County Domestic Security Division, and other officers on the morning of January 5, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Fubin and Wife Ms. Diao Shuhua Arrested

Mr. Liu Fubin and his wife Ms. Diao Shuhua were arrested by Luofeng Police Station officers on January 8, 2016 after he filed a criminal complaint against former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin. Ms. Diao was released after signing paperwork. Mr. Liu is still being held in the police station.

8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhan Shuoxiu Arrested

Mr. Zhan Shuoxiu was arrested recently when he was posting Falun Gong informational materials.

9. [Jinsha County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Cao Qianrong Arrested

Mr. Cao Qianrong was arrested on January 12, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police confiscated his Falun Dafa books and printed materials. Mr. Cao returned home that evening.

10. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xi Fengru Detained

Ms. Xi Fengru was arrested and taken to the Gaojiacun Police Station for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was released. Three days later, she was arrested again by officers from the Gaojiacun Police Station. She is being held in the Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Yushui Arrested

Ms. Dong Yushui was arrested by officers from the Nanguanling Police Station when she hanged a Falun Gong informational banner on the evening of December 25, 2015. The officers confiscated her Falun Dafa books and banners. The detention center refused to admit her because she had high blood pressure. She was released that evening after being "fined" 2,000 yuan.

12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Shuqin and Mr. Li Yanrong Detained

Ms. Huang Shuqin and Mr. Li Yanrong were arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Licheng District Police Station on December 29, 2015. Ms. Huang was detained for seven days, and Mr. Li for 10 days.

13. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Shuhua Detained

Ms. Lu Shuhua was arrested in November 2015 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was held in the Chaoyang City Detention Center.

14. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Shaopeng Abused in Prison

Mr. Liu Shaopeng is in Cell No. 607 in the Sixth Ward of Sihui Prison. Four inmates have been assigned to watch him around the clock. He was forced to sit motionless on a “small stool.” He is forced to stand or sit without moving and has been deprived of sleep. Every day, he has been forced to watch propaganda videos attacking Falun Gong. He is also forced to write “thought reports” each day.

15. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Guiying Detained

Ms. Ma Guiying was arrested by officers from the Criminal Police Division in the Dezhou City Economic Development Zone in the morning of December 18, 2015. She was held in a detention center for 15 days.

16. [Lulong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Kai Abused in Prison

Mr. Li Kai was arrested in July 2015 and sentenced to three and a half years in prison. He was taken to Tangshan Prison at the beginning of December 2015. He suffered a stroke and had to be taken to Tangshan Worker's Hospital. His mind remains clouded after surgery.

17. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wen Qingfang, Mr. Wan Yonghong, Ms. Liu Xiaoyuan, and Ms. Zhou Xiuxia were arrested on the morning of December 15, 2015. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Wen was released for health reasons. The other three practitioners were held in the No. 1 Tangshan Detention Center.
