Additional Persecution News from China – January 15, 2016 (26 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 35 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Lanying Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Zhao Lanying was arrested and taken to the Hongqilou Police Station on January 13, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

2. [Tengzhou City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Xu Borong, Ms. Zhao Zhenying, and Mr. Zhang Zeyun were arrested on January 12, 2016 by officers from the Tengzhou City Domestic Security Division, the Beixin Police Station, the Longquan Police Station, and the Jinghe Police Station. The police ransacked their homes. All three practitioners are detained.

Ms. Shi Meiqin was arrested by officers from the Tuchengzi Town Police Station and the Zhangbei County Police Department on January 13, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin,. She is detained at the Zhangjiakou Detention Center.

4. [Zhangbei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Chungui and Ms. Zhang Xiuling Detained

Ms. Liu Chungui was arrested by officers from the Zhangbei County Domestic Security Division on January 12, 2016. She was detained in the Zhangbei County Detention Center for five days.

Ms. Zhang Xiuling was arrested at home on January 13, 2016. She was detained in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center for 10 days.

5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Ruimin and Ms. Li Huifang Detained

Ms. Zhu Ruimin and Ms. Li Huifang were taken to Dabei Prison in Shenyang City on January 12, 2016.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhou Suxia and Mr. Liu Kuo Detained

Ms. Zhou Suxia and her son Mr. Liu Kuo were arrested at home by officers from the Houshayu Police Station and the Shunyi Domestic Security Division on January 9, 2016. They are detained in the Shunyi District Detention Center.

7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Yanxia Arrested

Ms. Han Yanxia was arrested by officers from the Wuyilu Police Station, Zhangjiakou City, on January 11, 2016. She was taken to that police station but managed to escape.

8. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Bian Deying Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Bian Deying, 55, was arrested by officers from the Jigang Police Station on January 12, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. She was detained in the Jinan Detention Center for seven days.

9. [Yining City, Xinjiang] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Qijie, Ms. Liu Lu, Ms. Zhao Jinxiu, Ms. Yang Hong, and Ms. Yao Weixian were arrested by officers from the Yining City Domestic Security Division, between December 10 to 14, 2015.

Ms. Yao was released on the day of the arrest and the others are still detained in the Yining City Detention Center.

10. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Qi Yuzhi Detained

Ms. Qi Yuzhi was arrested by officers from the Shenqiu Domestic Security Division on January 8, 2016. The police confiscated 20,000 yuan, two computers, a printer, a cell phone, Falun Gong books, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in the Zhoukou City Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Xiulan and Ms. Li Yuqin were arrested at home by officers from the Jianchang County Domestic Security Division and the local police station on January 12, 2016. They are detained in the Huludao Detention Center.

Mr. Sun Jianchun, arrested on January 6, 2016, is detained in the Weifang Detention Center.

15. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Four practitioners including Mr. Peng Jinjing and Mr. Xie Dehua were arrested by officers from the Chanfang Police Station on January 11, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were released on the evening of January 12.

16. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Guo Changsuo Arrested

Mr. Guo Changsuo was arrested by officers from the Yakeshi Domestic Security Division and Xingong Police Station on January 14, 2016. He was taken to the Xingong Police Station and the police confiscated his car and other property.

Ms. Zhang Weizhen, in her 40s, was arrested and taken to the Huaqiang Police Station on January 11, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

18. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wei Xiaoling Arrested

Ms. Wei Xiaoling was arrested on January 8, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong.

Ms. Chen E was sentenced to a three-and-a half-year prison term by the Jinzhou Court on December 25, 2015.

20. [Tengzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zeyun and Mr. Zhao Deying Detained

Mr. Zhang Zeyun was arrested and his home was ransacked by officers from the Jiangtun Town Police Station and the 610 Office on January 13, 2016.

Mr. Zhao Deying, 70, was arrested by officers from the Hongxu Town Police Station on the same day.

Both are detained in the Shangying Detention Center.

Mr. Guo Yanxiang, Ms. Hao Wanling, and Ms. Liu were arrested by officers from the Jiutai Police Department and Shanghewan Town Police Station on January 13, 2016, for reading Falun Gong books in Mr. Guo's home.

22. [Xining City, Qinghai Province] Ms. Zhang Xiulan's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhang Xiulan's whereabouts have been unknown for nearly a year.

23. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Chunmei and Ms. Meng Li Detained

Ms. Li Chunmei, in her 60s, and Ms. Meng Li, in her 40s, were arrested by officers from the Wenchanglu Police Station in early December 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Li was released that evening and Ms. Meng was taken to the Zhengwa Detention Center. Two days later, Ms. Li was arrested again and taken to the Zhengwa Detention Center.

24. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Haibin Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Liu Haibin was arrested by officers from the Biguo Town Police Station on January 8, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. He is detained in the Zhaoyuan Detention Center.
