(Minghui.org) I read a sharing article on the Minghui website yesterday entitled, “Older Falun Dafa Practitioners Become Very Computer Literate.” The author described how she and other older practitioners overcame difficulties in learning to use computers, and access sites blocked by China’s Internet firewall.
I was very touched, because even for a younger person like myself, mastering the skills of encrypting systems, which allows them to circumvent China’s Internet firewall, is not easy. But these older practitioners did it with their pure hearts, which could only be accomplished by cultivators.
Reading Articles on the Minghui Website
I joined a different Fa study group in the summer of 2015. I am in my forties, and the other six practitioners in the group are older. Three of them are in the sixties, two are in their seventies, and one is in her eighties.
I had just learned how to encrypt systems from an online forum. I used the encrypted system to go online and read experience sharing articles on Minghui. I soon found out that the other six practitioners were only able to read Minghui articles in Minghui Weekly. So this was a good opportunity to help my fellow practitioners read articles from the source, Minghui.org.
Two practitioners already had computers but they were not encrypted, so I installed a new system for them and encrypted the system. Another practitioner had a computer in the past, which was confiscated by police. So, this practitioner asked me to buy a new computer and encrypt the system. The fourth practitioner was computer illiterate but decided to get one anyway.
In this way, four out of six practitioners got on encrypted systems. I then taught them how to get to the Minghui website. One of the practitioners even asked me to get her a printer so she could create a small materials production site in her home, which I did.
Access to Master's Articles
After joining the Fa study group for a while, I found out that theses practitioners studied only Zhuan Falun, and had not read Master's other lectures. This happened because they did not have books. Because it was difficult to get that many books, I helped them buy computer tablets, encrypt them, and download all the lectures.
In order to encourage them to study these lectures, we studied Teaching the Fa at the Conference I together. An elderly practitioner began to sob when we were reading this lecture. From then on, she changed a lot. Before that, she did not say anything when we shared experiences, but she now shares with everyone about clarifying the facts about Dafa.
Much of this took place around the start of the movement to sue Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime. All six practitioners have since submitted their criminal complaint letters.
Although they had a solid cultivation foundation, I believe that it was also helpful that they studied Master's other lectures, and were able to read Minghui articles. It helped strengthen their righteous thoughts.
Technical Skills Help Maintain Diligence
Even though I did not do anything intentionally, the technical skills I had indeed helped these practitioners to maintain their diligence in cultivation. Perhaps I made this vow before I came to the human world, and Master thus gave me this opportunity to fulfill my mission.
I would like to suggest that if there are not any dedicated practitioners with technical skills in an area, or if they are too busy, perhaps the younger practitioners in each Fa study group can take the time to learn some computer skills.
It is much easier for the younger generation to learn these skills. They can then help the older practitioners, and create a better cultivation environment for everyone. Older practitioners will then be able to have more time to focus on saving sentient beings. Perhaps these are also part of your prehistorical vows, just as they are mine.
