(Minghui.org) Many practitioners of Falun Dafa experience extraordinary things in their cultivation. I know of one illiterate woman who became able to read overnight.
This fellow practitioner, 83, had a very difficult childhood. Both of her parents died when she was around five, and the grandma that took her in also passed away a few years later. She became a child bride at age 12 and never got a chance to attend school.
When she first began to practice Falun Dafa 20 years ago, she could only listen to her husband read Zhuan Falun, the main teachings of the practice.
Anxious to read the book herself, she asked her husband one day to teach her to read. He, however, was apprehensive about how to go about it.
She tried to ease his concern, “If I learn one Chinese character each day, I will be able to learn 365 characters in one year. I can then read the book by myself in a few years.”
Still her husband was hesitant. That night she held the book in her hands and said to the photo of Master, founder of Falun Dafa, “Why do I have such a miserable life? I can't even read such a wonderful book!”
She cried so much that night that her eyes were swollen the next morning. She picked up Zhuan Falun later that day, but before her husband could read to her, she found that she could recognize all the characters in the book.
She couldn't believe her eyes, but soon knew that it was Master that helped her.
