Additional Persecution News from China – January 13, 2016 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Inner Mongolia] Mr. Zhou Jianhua Detained

Mr. Zhou Jianhua, recently arrested, is detained at the Balijie No. 3 Detention Center in Guilin.

2. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Ruyun Arrested

Ms. Chen Ruyun was arrested by officers from the Xinghuajie Police Station, Yantang Residential Community Committee, and Yantang Domestic Security Division on January 6, 2016.

3. [Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Jianying was arrested on January 7, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. His home was ransacked. He was later released.

Ms. Dong Hongying and Mr. Xin Yuhong, arrested, were detained at Honghe Police Station in Jiaxing City and Jiaxing City Detention Center, respectively for 15 days.

4. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Lanying Detained

Ms. Zhou Lanying, arrested in September 2015 by local police officers, was detained for 10 days. She was arrested again in December 2015 and detained at the Nantong Brainwashing Center. She was later released.

5. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Lu Yunhui's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Lu Yunhui, in his 80s, was arrested in early January 2016, for talking to Domestic Security Division officers about the persecution of Falun Gong. His whereabouts are still unknown.

6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Wenbo Arrested

Mr. Li Wenbo was arrested on January 28, 2016.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zuping and Mr. Shan Arrested

Ms. Li Zuping and Mr. Shan were arrested and their homes were ransacked on January 5, 2016.

8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Zhanhe and Ms. Zhang Yuchan Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhanhe and his daughter Ms. Zhang Yuchan were arrested by officers from the Shachengxi Police Station in Huailai County on January 12, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

9. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Nie Daimin Arrested

Ms. Nie Daimin from the Baoji Steel Tubing Plant was recently arrested by officers from the Jiangtanlu Police Station for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. She was taken to a detention center, where she was denied.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Lin, 73, was arrested at home by officers from the Keyuanlu Police Station in Lixia District on December 28, 2015. She was detained for five hours.

Ms. Shi Minglan was arrested by officers from the Dangjia Police Station in Zhangqiu City on January 7, 2016. Mr. Chen Jinglai was also arrested on the same day by officers from the Longshan Police Station. Both Ms. Shi and Mr. Chen were detained for 12 days.

11. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Kai Sentenced

Mr. Li Kai, arrested by officers from the Baoan Police Station on April 27, 2015, was sentenced to a four-year prison term by Guta District Court on December 28.

12. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Jinsheng Arrested

Mr. Liu Jinsheng was arrested and had his home ransacked by officers from the Changle Domestic Security Division on January 11, 2016.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiaoyuan Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiaoyuan was arrested on January 8, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the local police station and detained there.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Yuxiang and Mr. Zhang Yi and Family Members Persecuted

Ms. Liu Yuxiang and her husband Mr. Zhang Yi were arrested at home by officers from the Chengguan Police Station in the Fangshan District in early November 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

Their daughter and son-in-law and son and daughter-in-law were all arrested when they went to the police station for their release. Ms. Liu and Mr. Zhang and their son and son-in-law were released. Their daughter-in-law and daughter, who are not practitioners, are still being persecuted.

15. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Peng Jinjing, Mr. Xie Dehua, Ms. Yang Suting, and Ms. Xiao Qiao were arrested by officers from the Shahe City Domestic Security Division on January 11, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jin Hua and Her Son Arrested

Ms. Jin Hua and her son were arrested by officers from the Xincheng Police Station in the Xiangfang District on December 29, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. She was extorted 500 yuan and forced to sign on documents. Ms. Jin and her son were later released.
