Additional Persecution News from China – February 15, 2016 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 were illegally arrested.

1. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Qingxiu Incarcerated

Ms. Zhao Qingxiu was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Boai County Court on January 22, 2016. She is being held in the Henan Province Prison.

2. [Suixi County, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Chao Imprisoned

Mr. Liu Chao, sentenced to four years in prison, is now in Suzhou Prison.

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Ye Meiyun Detained

Ms. Ye Meiyun was sentenced to two-and-a-half-years in prison on January 13, 2016. She is stil in a detention center.

4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Meixiang Arrested

Ms. Yang Meixiang, 53, was arrested at the Shijiazhuang Railway Station on February 14, 2016, for possessing Falun Gong books and written materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was later ransacked by plainclothes officers.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Weixia Detained

Ms. Guo Weixia, arrested on January 29, 2016, is being held in the Fushan District Detention Center in Yantai City.

6. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Xiang Dong Detained

Mr. Xiang Dong was arrested and taken to the Fuhai Police Station on January 24, 2016, for distributing literatlure about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated his computer, printer, and other items on January 25. He is being held in the Kunming City Detention Center.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Juxue Detained

Mr. Liu Juxue, 74, was arrested by officers from the Yingmenkou Police Station and Jinniu Police Department on December 22, 2015. He was scheduled to be detained in the Chengdu City Detention Center for 14 days, but his term was prolonged and he has yet to be released.
