(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 22 were illegally arrested, and the whereabouts of 2 are unknown.

1. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Dehong and Ms. Jiang Chunyan Detained

Mr. Zhang Dehong and Ms. Jiang Chunyan from the Beibei District went to the Beiquan Police Station and demanded the return of items confiscated from their homes on January 22, 2016. Both practitioners were arrested and detained for ten days.

Police officers from Jiansanjiang, the Qianjin Farm, and Jiamusi City arrested Mr. Shi Mengchang, Ms. Han Shujuan, Mr. Shi Qilei, Mr. Jiang Xinbo, Mr. Yu Songjiang, Ms. Sun Yanhuan, and Ms. Cui Xiuyun on December 24, 2015. The practitioners' homes were ransacked.

3. [Tongren City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Long Zhenping Detained

Ms. Long Zhenping, 50, was recently arrested and is being held in the Tongren City Detention Center.

Ms. Qin Lili, 40, was arrested by officers from the Changle County Security Division when she visited her mother in Changle County in mid-December 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang Shifen from the Gaoxin District was arrested by Wang Yun, deputy head of the Gaoxin District Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Gangcheng Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers' market on the morning of January 31, 2016. She was taken to the police station, then released, and has returned home.

7. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Five Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Liu Yong, Mr. Liu Zhihong, Mr. Shi Kaiyuan, Ms. Gong Yan, and Ms. Song Xiaoying were arrested by officers from the Daxiang District Domestic Security Division, the 610 Office, and the local police station on January 26, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime. They were taken to the Shaoyang City Detention Center.

8. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Hu Weixue Detained

Mr. Hu Weixue, 35, from Tianshui City, Gansu Province, is employed by a company in the Shunyi District of Beijing. He was arrested recently for telling people about Falun Gong and is being held in the Changping Detention Center in Beijing.
