Additional Persecution News from China – February 2, 2016 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xunke County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fu Limei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Fu Limei was arrested by officers from the Xunke County Police Department and the Court on January 16, 2016. She was taken to the Heihe City Detention Center. She was secretly sentenced to four years in prison. She is being subjected to force feeding in the detention center.

2. [Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cheng Shuirong Detained

Ms. Cheng Shuirong was arrested and taken to the Chengzhong Police Station by Yu Fuyao and other officers from the Duanzhou District Police Department on the morning of February 1, 2016. She was detained in the Zhaoqing Detention Center for five days.

3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Qin and two other practitioners were reported to the police and arrested on the afternoon of January 30, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Nanyingfang Police Station. One was released the following day. The other two were taken to the Shisanli Detention Center.

4. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Miao Shubao, his wife, and Mr. Cao Zhenqi were arrested by officers from the Changyi City Domestic Security Division and the Beimeng Town Police Station on January 31, 2016. Their homes were ransacked.

5. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Huamei Arrested

Ms. Guo Huamei, 61, was arrested on Wanda Square on January 31, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Baolian Detained

Ms. Yang Baolian from the Hebei District was arrested and taken to the Caozhuangzi Detention Center recently for suing Jiang Zemin. She was detained for 10 days.

7. [Raoyang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Cui Guangjun and Wife Detained

Mr. Cui Guangjun and his wife were arrested by Liu Kuntao and other officers from the City Police Department when they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of January 29, 2016.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Huixia Arrested

Ms. Wang Huixia was arrested on January 27, 2016.

9. [Shaodong County, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Zhiping Detained

Ms. Liu Zhiping from Niumasi Township was arrested by Long Yanyun, head of the Shaodong County Domestic Security Division, on January 25, 2016. She was held in the Shaodong Detention Center for 15 days.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Huixiang Detained

Ms. Huang Huixiang from the Tanggu District was arrested on January 19, 2016. She was scheduled to be detained for seven days. After the seven days were up, she was not released. She is being held in the Wuqing Detention Center.

11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyan Held in Prison

Ms. Xu Xiuyan was sentenced to three years in prison on August 22, 2015. She was secretly taken to the Luquan Women's Prison in Shijiazhuang City on December 17, 2015. Family visits are denied.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Gao Xiuqing Arrested

Mr. Gao Xiuqing was arrested by officers from the Tongzhou District on January 21, 2016.

13. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Ji Fengrui, 75; Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, 73; Mr. Wang Kuizan, 71; Ms. Sun Xiangcun, 68; and Ms. Ma Jinling, 68, were arrested by Ganjiakou Police Station officers in the Haidian District when they were studying the Falun Gong teachings on the morning of January 21, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. The five were taken to the Ganjiakou Police Station and released the next evening.

14. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Cao Zhaohui and Wife Ms. Chen Lingmei Held in Prison

Mr. Cao Zhaohui and his wife Ms. Chen Lingmei from Beixiguo Village in Matou Town were arrested in July 2015. The Gu'an County Court sentenced Mr. Cao to four years in prison and Ms. Chen to three years. The couple appealed their sentences. Langfang Intermediate Court upheld the original sentences.

Ms. Chen was taken to the No. 17 Ward in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. A family member went to visit her on January 27, 2016, and noticed that her vision had declined significantly, and she had a hard time seeing people clearly. She needs help walking. She was “transformed” by force.

Mr. Cao was supposedly taken to the Shenzhou Prison. But the prison says no such person is there. His whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Hui and Ms. Xiao Chengyan Arrested

Ms. Xu Hui and Ms. Xiao Chengyan were reported to the police and arrested by officers from the Lishan Domestic Security Division and the Lishan Police Station on the afternoon of January 28, 2016, for telling people about Falun Gong. Ms. Xu is held in the Anshan City Women's Detention Center. Ms. Xiao was released the following evening.

Mr. Li Congchun, Mr. Li Mingtao, and three female practitioners were arrested on January 26, 2016, by officers from the Chengguan Police Station for producing Falun Gong informational materials in Feixiang County. The two men were taken to the Feixiang County Detention Center. The three women were taken to the Handan City No. 1 Detention Center.
