(Minghui.org) I am a native of Weihai City, Shandong Province. My wife and I lost our jobs in 2008. We talked about starting a small business, but we did not have the funds to even get started. We ended up renting a booth in a market and sold socks.
The profit from a pair of socks was very small. After paying our rent and other expenses we did not have much left. I was sad and angry. Thus, I often had arguments with others who sold socks in the same market. I frequently got upset and yelled at them. Our business declined.
It seemed that I was angry all the time. I hated my life, was disgusted with the corruption of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the injustices that occurred daily. Because of my bad temper I developed hypertension, was frequently dizzy and had headaches.
Introduced to Falun Dafa
When at a low point, an aunt visited us. She is a Falun Dafa practitioner and introduced this cultivation practice to me. She said that Falun Dafa is the Buddha’s law, and teaches people to be good. She also told me that such a good cultivation practice has been persecuted in China since 1999 on the order of Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime.
She also spoke of the low morality in our society. After she told me the facts of Dafa, she asked me to sincerely recite, “Falun Dafa is good!” She also encouraged me to quit all CCP organizations to ensure I had a good future.
My aunt told me that as long as I follow the Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, my situation would improve. She made sure that I understood that my bad behavior would only create karma.
Turn About of Business Due to Improved Behavior
After I listened to my aunt, I no longer yelled and cursed. I often silently recited “Falun Dafa is good.”
Whenever someone distributed Falun Dafa flyers and I noticed that people hesitated to accept one or walked away, I said loudly, "I want it! Please give me one! Falun Dafa teaches one to become a better person. Falun Dafa is good!"
My business improved. I asked my aunt for a Dafa book and she gave me the book Zhuan Falun, the main book of Dafa. I read it twice and everything made sense. Although I do not practice Dafa, this book gave me a better understanding of life.
My business is now improving more and more. Most booths were closed during a snow day, but I opened ours and had a very successful day. I am grateful for what Falun Dafa has done for me. Believe me, Falun Dafa is good!
