(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 21 were illegally arrested, and the whereabouts of 1 are unknown. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

Mr. Sun Kaiqing was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term by the Nangang District Court on December 22, 2015. He has filed an appeal with the Harbin Intermediate Court. He is detained in the Nangang District Detention Center.

2. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Yuhua and Ms. Li Arrested

Ms. Tian Yuhua and Ms. Li were arrested on January 12, 2016.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Mingda Arrested

Mr. Liu Mingda was arrested by police officers from the Licheng Police Station in Zengcheng District and Shetan Town Police Station on January 20, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. He was released in the evening.

Ms. Yuan Yunlan was arrested by officers from the Xiaosi Police Station and Caidian District 610 Office, Wuhan City, on January 19, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal items. She was taken to Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Defang was arrested by police officers from the Jingerlu Police Station on January 21, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained in the Jintai District Detention Center for 15 days.

Ms. Wang Lijun was arrested on January 19, 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yan Ling Detained

Ms. Yan Ling was arrested by police officers from the Bajilei Town Police Station on January 14, 2016. She was detained in the Wugongli Detention Center for seven days.

8. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Fang Yuhua and Mr. Meng Xiangying Detained

Ms. Fang Yuhua and Mr. Meng Xiangying were arrested by Zhang Min (张敏) and other police officers from the Lizhuang Town Police Station on January 14, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained in the Binzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Yuzhu was arrested by Wang Wei and other police officers from the Niutouya Police Station on January 22, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained in a detention center.

Mr. Yu Ming was transferred from Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center to Pingluo Prison on November 3, 2015. Then, he was transferred to Benxi Prison on December 17.

Mr. Yu is hospitalized in the prison hospital because of torture. He has difficulty eating. His family is not allowed to see him.

Ms. Zhou Linhui and her husband Mr. Zhang Bailong were arrested by police officers from the local police station on January 11, 2016. They were detained for 15 days.

Ms. Xie Fengxia and Ms. Sun Yanqin were arrested on January 13, 2016. Ms. Xie was detained for five and Ms. Sun for seven days.

Ms. Yong Xiaoqin, arrested on January 14, 2016, was detained for five days.

Ms. Wang Xiaoxian was arrested by police officers on October 20, 2015, for posting stickers with Falun Gong content in the local area. She is detained in the Quzhou City Detention Center.
