(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 43 were illegally arrested, and the whereabouts of 1 is unknown.

1. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Guoguo, Mr. Zhang Xianwen, and Mr. Wang Dianhua were arrested by officers from the Xinzhou City Police Department and Datong City Police Department on January 13, 2016.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Xian Chunwei and his wife Ms. Li Zuping from the Weicheng District were arrested by officers from the Weicheng District Domestic Security Division on January 16, 2016. Mr. Sun Jianchun was also arrested. The three practitioners are being held in the Weifang Detention Center.

3. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Pan Shurong Detained

Ms. Pan Shurong from the Qianjin Farm, Jiansanjiang area was arrested by Shi Ping, head of the Qianjin Farm 610 Office, and other officers, on January 12, 2016. She was taken to the Jiansanjiang Detention Center.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Wei Jiuyun Arrested

Ms. Wei Jiuyun was arrested in the morning of January 10, 2016.

5. [Wuhan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Nianjie Passed Away Due to the Persecution

Mr. Zhang Nianjie, in his eighties, from the Tujiagou Community, Baishazhou area, Wuchang District, filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese communist regime. Community administrators came to his home and harassed him on November 16, 2015. Mr. Zhang suddenly lost consciousness and fell down. He was taken to a hospital, but all rescue measures failed, and he passed away.

6. [Huantai County, Shandong Province] Mr. Shi Zhaozhong Arrested

Elderly Mr. Shi Zhaozhong was followed and arrested for telling people about Falun Gong on January 15, 2016. He was taken to the Suo Town Police Station.

7. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Yang Xiaowu Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Yang Xiaowu from the Yahedong District was arrested by officers from the Yahedong District Police Station in mid-December 2015. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Fu Jinfen and Mr. Wang Lifa Arrested

Ms. Fu Jinfen and Mr. Wang Lifa were arrested by officers from the Helong Police Department in the morning on January 9, 2016. They were taken to the Nong'an County Detention Center. During the physical examination, the two practitioners’ blood pressures were dangerously high, so they were released.

9. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Wei Detained

Ms. Zheng Wei was arrested by officers from the Laobian Police Station on January 13, 2016. She was taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center.

10. [Fanshi County, Shanxi Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Meiyun, Ms. Li Pingyu, Ms. Ren Hua, and Ms. Yang Junjun were arrested by officers from the Shahe Police Station for studying Falun Gong teachings at home on January 13, 2016. The officers ransacked the home and confiscated a computer, printer supplies, Falun Gong books, and about 20,000 yuan in cash.

Mr. Liang Tiancai was arrested on January 14, 2016. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and all Falun Gong books.

11. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Guo Heping from Lihe Village, Erdaowan Town was arrested by officers from the Erdaowan Town Police Station on January 11, 2016. He is being held in the Fuyu County Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Yumei and Ms. Li Fengchun from Lihe Village were arrested at home by police officers on January 12, 2016. They are held in the Fuyu County Detention Center.

Ms. Cui Xiuyun was arrested by officers from the Xilin Police Station, Xiangyang District, on December 24, 2015. She was taken to the Jiamusi Coal Factory Hospital because of high blood pressure.

13. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Several practitioners, arrested on December 24, 2015, were placed under criminal detention.

Ms. Sun Yanhuan was transferred to the Jiamusi City Detention Center on January 7, 2016.

Mr. Shi Mengchang, Mr. Shi Qilei, and Mr. Yu Songjiang were transferred to the Jiansanjiang Detention Center on January 9, 2016.

Ms. Jiang Xinbo is held in the Hegang Detention Center. The guards injected her with unknown drugs, because she went on a hunger strike.

Ms. Fu Anzhen, in her eighties, from the Bazhou District, was arrested by officers from the Bazhou District 610 Office on September 5, 2015. She is detained in the Bazhong Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Junjie from the Shiliuyuang Community, Fengtai District, was arrested by officers from the Changping Police Department on January 13, 2016. Her home was ransacked.

16. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Renfang Detained

Ms. Yang Renfang from Lianyuxu Town, Huarong County, was recently arrested. She is being held in the Huarong County Detention Center.

17. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zheng Hui, Mr. Chen Zhong, and two other practitioners from the No. 122 Regiment were arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in July 2015. Their homes were ransacked, and computers and printers were confiscated. The four practitioners are detained in the Shihezi City No. 1 Detention Center. Family visits are denied.

18. [Hebi City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Jinhua from the Shancheng District was arrested by employees from the South Railway Station on January 6, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Hebi City Detention Center. Ms. Guo Xiangying and Ms. Qiao Yumei were also arrested at the same time.

19. [Liuhe County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xing Deqin was arrested by employees from the Jilin Province Public Security Bureau on January 12, 2016. Her non-practitioner daughter-in-law Ms. Xue Lili was also arrested. Mr. Wang Zongjiang and his wife Ms. Yin Cuihong were arrested at the same time. Mr. Wang is being held in the Meihekou City Detention Center. The others are being held in the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

20. [Benxi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Shuxiang Arrested

Ms. Sun Shuxiang, 57, from Xiaoshi Town, was arrested by officers from the Guanyinge Police Station for handing out paintings with Falun Gong content on January 15, 2016.

21. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Deying Detained

Mr. Liu Deying from Fengnan Town in the Fangnan District was arrested on January 7, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. He is held in the Fengnan Detention Center.

22. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Gang and Ms. Lu Duo'e Arrested

Mr. Li Gang from the Licheng District was arrested and taken to the Zhonggong Detention Center by officers from the Dongjia Town Police Station on January 5, 2016. His home was ransacked, and his computer, printer, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Ms. Lu Duo'e was arrested and taken to the Zhonggong Detention Center by officers from the Guodian Town Police Station on January 10, 2016.

23. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Xi Dongsong Arrested

Mr. Xi Dongsong from Shangqiu City, Henan Province, was arrested in Hefei City in late December 2015.

24. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xizeng Detained

Mr. Zhang Xizeng was arrested and taken to the Qixing Detention Center on January 12, 2016.

25. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fu Shuling Detained

Ms. Fu Shuling was arrested on January 13, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. She is being held in the No. 1 Affiliated Hospital of Jiamusi University.
