(Minghui.org) Ms. Bian Xiao'e, 47, from Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, went missing on December 8, 2016. Her family later learned that she had been arrested again. Her mother, in her eighties, and her daughter are saddened by this recent blow.

Ms. Bian started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. She set high standards for herself by adhering to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She enjoyed excellent health and lived a fulfilled life, bringing harmony and compassion to those around her. Ms. Bian recalled, “At the time when we began practicing Falun Gong, my husband and our son read the books every day, and our whole family was full of joy. It was the most pleasant period in my life.”

Her family's good life was disrupted when the persecution of Falun Gong was launched by the Chinese Communist Party in 1999. They endured continuous challenges over the years.

Ms. Bian was arrested on several occasions between 2000 and 2009 by the local 610 Office and police station. She was twice subjected to forced labor, totaling three years. She was also subjected to a month of brainwashing, and her home was ransacked numerous times.

Ms. Bian's elderly mother was terrified upon witnessing her daughter’s arrest by a group of violent police officers who wrecked their entire home. She continued trembling and could not eat or sleep for days. She suffered heart disease shortly after.

Officers from the local Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Bian's son on the afternoon of March 27, 2014, when he was driving to a neighboring county with friends. The officers subsequently broke into and ransacked Ms. Bian’s home. Despite finding nothing, they nonetheless arrested Ms. Bian’s son, who was later sentenced to three years in prison. He is being held in Zhengzhou Prison.

The entire family had to rely on her husband's monthly income of just over 1,000 yuan. Additionally, the arrest of their son was a fatal blow to Ms. Bian’s husband. Pressured to work hard to feed the family, his health deteriorated, and he passed away in September 2015.
