Additional Persecution News from China – November 7, 2016 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Yunli Detained

Ms. Chen Yunli, in her eighties, from Qinhuai District, was arrested and taken to a police station by officers from the Qinhuai District 610 Office on September 10, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was then taken to a detention center, and a brainwashing center. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a large number of Falun Gong books. She has since returned home.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dong Wenling Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Dong Wenling from Acheng District was arrested by officers from the Acheng District Domestic Security Division on May 27, 2016. She has been held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center. She was sentenced to one and a half years in prison by the Acheng District Court on October 11, 2016.

3. [Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Officially Placed Under Arrest

Several practitioners from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, were arrested by officers from the Xinzhou City Domestic Security Division, in Shanxi Province, on the evening of October 5, 2016. They are being held in the Xinzhou City Detention Center.

Among them, Mr. Ma Zhanguo's wife, Mr. Zhao Yijun's wife, and Ms. Wu Xiaojiao's husband received arrest warrants from the Xinzhou District Procuratorate. They were officially placed under arrest.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Runlin Beaten in Prison

Mr. Liu Runlin, in his 60es, was given a seven-year prison term and taken to the No. 2 Subdivision, No. 5 Ward, in Dalian Prison.

According to someone who was held in his cell, Mr. Liu has been severely abused in prison, which could have endangered his life.

5. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yunfeng, Mr. Wang Yonghua, Ms. An Yuhua, and a practitioner surnamed Song were arrested by officers from the Huanren County Police Department on November 6, 2016.

6. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Lanqin Arrested

Mr. Zhang Lanqin was arrested by officers from the Datun Town Police Station on November 3, 2016.

7. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yi Jingchang and Mr. Liu Wei from Xigou Village, Shanghewan Town were arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Shanghewan Police Station on the evening of November 3, 2016.

Mr. Guan Yuxin from Liming Village, Qitamu Town, was arrested on October 28, 2016.

8. [Yangshuo County, Guangxi Province] Mr. Huang Yunshun Arrested

Mr. Huang Yunshun, 61, from Jinbao Township, was arrested when he was working in the fields on October 28, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Haimen City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Police from Nantong City and Haimen City broke into Mr. Ye Weidong's home on the evening of October 28, 2016. They arrested Mr. Ye, his wife, and another practitioner surnamed Shen from out of town. Mr. Ye was held nearby, but his wife was held at the Nantong Detention Center. Shen's whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhao Lianzhen Arrested

Community police officers led by Yao, the director of the Hanzhong Neighborhood Administration Office in Qiaokou District, deceived Ms. Zhao Lianzhen into opening her door on the afternoon of October 14, 2016, then ransacked her home. Ms. Zhao, 75, was taken to the Lijijie Police Station, where the officers coerced her into telling them the source of her Falun Gong materials. As a form of abuse, they stuffed cotton swabs into her mouth. Three hours later, the police called her son to take her home.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers led by the director of the Kalun Town Police Station in Jiutai District harassed practitioners on October 22 and 25, 2016.

They arrested Ms. Guo Yanping on the street on October 25, 2016, and held her in the police station for four hours. She was released after signing paperwork.

Two unidentified practitioners were arrested at home on November 2, 2016. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated two copies of Zhuan Falun and two music players.

12. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Quan Yongzhe and other officers from the Shixian Town Police Station broke into several local practitioners' homes and ransacked them on the evening of October 31, 2016. They also arrested Ms. Chi Suling, Ms. Chi Sujie, and Ms. Qin Yuhe. The three practitioners were released that evening.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Zheng Shiju Harassed

On August 8, 2016, three officers from the Tongnan District Police Department's State Security Division called elderly Ms. Zheng Shiju to the Tangba Town Police Station, where she was questioned about her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. The police forced her to renounce Falun Gong and forcibly took her fingerprints.

Personnel from the Tangba Town Government Comprehensive Management Office brought a three statements document to Mr. Zheng's elder son on August 10, 2016, and told him to sign it. The police also took photos of him.

14. [Chongqing] Ms. Xiong Yulan Missing for Five Years

Ms. Xiong Yulan, from the Shanshuitiancheng Residential Community, Wulidian Neighborhood, Jiangbei District, worked at the Chang'an Hospital. She was arrested by officers from the Yuhua Village Police Station five years ago. Seven days after her arrest, the police notified her family that she was missing.
