Additional Persecution News from China – November 5, 2016 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 40 were illegally arrested.

1. [Linhe City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Guoliang Sentenced

Mr. Wang Guoliang was tried by the Linghe City Court on October 17, 2016. He was sentenced to a one-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 20,000 yuan.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Yanling Arrested

Ms. Ma Yanling was arrested on October 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

3. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Junyan Arrested

Ms. Yang Junyan was arrested by officers from the Hengdaohe Town Police Station on November 3, 2016.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ten Practitioners Detained

Twelve practitioners were arrested by officers from the Dehui City Domestic Security Division on September 21, 2016. Two were released.

Mr. Cui Tao and Mr. Wang Chengshun are held at the Dehui City Detention Center. Ms. Li Ruifeng, Ms. Zhang Fengqiu, Ms. Yang Jinyu, Ms. Yang Jinfeng, Ms. Ma Yulian, Ms. Hu Bo, Ms. Hao Jie, and Ms. Li are held at the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.

5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yan Shujun Detained

Ms. Yan Shujun was arrested by officers from the Yushu City 610 Office on November 3, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party, who launched the persecution of Falun Gong. She was given a 5-day detention and taken to a detention center.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qiaofeng and Mr. Cheng Junqiang Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiaofeng was arrested on October 18, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin. She was held at the Longwangzhuang Detention Center for 15 days and then transferred to the Yantai Detention Center. The police confiscated her computer, printer, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Cheng Junqiang was arrested and had his home ransacked by the Laiyang City 610 Office on November 3, 2016.

7. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Xiaofang Missing Since July 20, 1999

Ms. Yao Xiaofang went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. She has been missing since then.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang and Ms. Jiang Arrested

Ms. Wang and Ms. Jiang were arrested by officers from the Hongqi Road Police Station on November 4, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

9. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xu Guodong Arrested

Mr. Xu Guodong was arrested at home by officers from the Datun Town Police Station and the Shenzhou Domestic Security Division on November 4, 2016.

10. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Meizhen Imprisoned

Ms. Zhao Meizhen, in her 80s, was arrested at home by officers from the Xinxiang Railway Police Station on October 24, 2016.

The police took her to the Xinxiang Detention Center, where she was turned away because of her high blood pressure. Ms. Zhao was then taken to No. 5 Prison without a trial by the local Procuratorate.

She developed illness while being held at the prison and was taken to the prison hospital for treatment. Her family is not allowed to visit her.

11. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Aihua and Ms. Li Meiru Arrested

Ms. Huang Aihua and Ms. Li Meiru were arrested by the Tongcheng County Domestic Security Division on November 4, 2016. The police confiscated a computer and several printers, and other personal belongings from Ms. Huang's home. The total value of the confiscated items is approximately 10,000 yuan.

12. [Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province] Eight Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Yuanjiang City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division broke into the homes of eight Falun Gong practitioners on November 3, 2016, and arrested them. They ransacked their homes and confiscated several computers, printers, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings.

The arrested practitioners are Ms. Song Xueqi, Mr. Li Lizhi, Ms. Qian Yingzi, Mr. Liu Xiangyang, Mr. Huang Fuyuan, Ms. Hu Jian, Ms. Dai Dongyun, and Peng Xiaoting. Ms. Hu's non-practitioner husband was arrested and released four hours later. The practitioners are all detained at the Qingyunshan Police Station.

13. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Tian Deyi Arrested

Ms. Tian Deyi, in her 70s, was arrested at home on November 1, 2016.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lianwen Detained

Ms. Zhang Lianwen was arrested by officers from the Xigang District Police Department on November 3, 2016, for asking the police for the return of her Falun Gong books. She was given a 15-day detention and held at the Dalian City Detention Center.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Sun Chunmei was arrested by officers from the Xianglujiao Police Station on October 31, 2016, for suing Jaing Zemin. The police ransacked her home and confiscated printers, computers, and other personal belongings.

On the same day, Ms. Wang Suzhi and several practitioners were also arrested.

16. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Shujun, Ms. Liu Shuangyan, and Ms. Qian Jilan were arrested by officers from the Chaoyang County Police Department and the Liucheng Police Station on November 4, 2016.

17. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yafang Detained

Ms. Cui Yafang was arrested by officers from the Tiexi District Domestic Security Division and the Dalu Police Station on June 28, 2016. She was taken to a detention center. Her case was brought to the Tiexi District Court on September 28.

18. [Chongqing] Mr. Hu Jian Arrested

Mr. Hu Jian was arrested at the Yongchuan Railway Station on November 4, 2016.

19. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Ding Si was arrested and taken to the Daqing 721 Brainwashing Center on November 4, 2016. Mr. Luan Xin was also taken to a brainwashing center.
