(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Gong in 1998 and took part in the peaceful protest near the Zhongnanhai government compound in Beijing on April 25, 1999.
We stood along the road. We were either doing the exercises or reading books, quietly and peacefully.
At around 4 p.m., someone pointed to the west and people started to cheer. An elderly woman asked what we were looking at.
“Look, it's a spinning Falun,” said a practitioner.
“I see it,” said the elderly lady, “It's spinning and the colors are changing!”
I also saw many transparent, small Faluns covering the trees. Wherever I looked, I saw countless small Faluns. I knew that Master was beside us, and I became more steadfast in my belief.
Cultivation Is Very Serious
Soon after the peaceful protest near the government compound, the communist regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, and I was placed under great pressure to renounce Falun Gong.
My child was not admitted to a college because I refused to give up my belief. My relatives were also affected. My friends and colleagues thought that I was weird. Officials from my workplace demanded that I give up Falun Gong. The intense pressure made me waver in my decision to keep on cultivating.
When I was riding my bicycle, I kept thinking about what I should do. Suddenly, I fell off my bike, felt great pain and could not get up. I realized that this was not a coincidence. My mind became clear, and I understood that cultivation is very serious.
“Before I practiced Falun Gong,” I thought, “I suffered from many illnesses. I regained my health because of Falun Gong. Why should I give up?” I decided that I would never give up this cultivation. Immediately, I felt a warm energy coursing through my body.
Bringing the Facts about Falun Gong to Co-workers
I took the opportunity to talk to as many people as I could about Falun Gong, and to convince them to withdraw from the CCP organizations. However, I was so caught up with it that I did not study the Fa with a peaceful mind.
When I tried to tell the department head about Falun Gong, she was not receptive at all. I was soon re-assigned. This made me realize that I had slacked off and needed to study the Fa, as well as look inside.
To help people become more aware of the persecution, I made disks that contained software for breaking through the Internet blockade. Most people accepted the software and close to 90% of my co-workers are using the software to surf the Internet.
Misdeeds Bring Harm
Not everything went well, especially when I did not cultivate well.
An official got angry when I tried to give her Falun Gong informational materials.
“As long as I am here,” she said, “I won't allow you to distribute Falun Gong related materials. No one can say bad words about the Party, as we are under the Party's control.”
I knew that she was being controlled by evil factors in another dimension. I sent forth righteous thoughts, and told her not to act like that and incur karmic retribution. She fell two days later and hurt her knee. She no longer interfered with me after that.
A new department head tried to stop me from talking about my cultivation. He had withdrawn from the Party, but had not been told about the persecution and the practice. He did not like the Party, but worried that he might lose his position because of me.
I had argued with him several times, which I realized to be wrong. I had to be peaceful and calm, and sent forth righteous thoughts more often. Gradually, he came to understand the facts about the practice and the persecution.
Master said,
“If you always keep a compassionate heart, and a peaceful state of mind, when you run into problems you’ll handle them well because it will give you space as a buffer. ”(Zhuan Falun)
Paying Attention to Safety
Once an older man came to my office to get a birth certificate for his grandson. I talked to him about Falun Gong, but he was too scared to listen to information about Falun Gong.
He came to my office about nine years later, and recognized me when I tried to tell him about Falun Gong. He had changed and quit the Party.
“Thank you very much,” he said. “Please pay attention to your own safety. I have experienced many of the Communist Party's political movements and everything that comes with them. It is very evil.”
Master said,
“All beings will certainly be given chances as we go about offering salvation, with some of them being given prolonged chances. During the process, some beings will indeed turn around and become good, yet there will also be some who aren’t good enough in the end, and those need to be cleared out.”(“On the Responses to the Piece About Assistant Souls”)
I still remember an incident in 2008. A soldier came to an office next to mine, but the person was out. He stopped in my office and we talked about many topics, including domestic and international affairs, the army, and the CCP's corruption.
We also talked about Falun Gong. His past experience with the Party helped him understand about the persecution of Falun Gong without any problem. He agreed to quit the Party.
I told him, “Please always remember the two sentences: Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good!”
He turned around and replied loudly, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good! Master Li Hongzhi is good!”
