(Minghui.org) Over a dozen Falun Gong practitioners in Shulan City, Jilin Province, were arrested in October 2016. Seven of them were taken to the Jilin City Women's Detention Center. Others are held at the Shulan City Detention Center.

Arrests on October 12

Ms. Chen Yuxia, Ms. Xi Yahong, Ms. Wang Pengying, Ms. Zhang Aiying, Ms. Wang Yuqin, and her sister Ms. Wang Yuzhen were arrested by officers from the Shulan Domestic Security Division and the Jilin City Police Department, while they distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Xin'an Village on October 12, 2016. They were taken to various police departments where they were interrogated.

Arrests on October 13

More than twelve officers from the Nacheng Police Station went to Mr. Wang Hongfu's rental home on October 13 and ransacked it. They confiscated over 10,000 yuan and a debit card, two computers, three printers, cell phones, and other personal belongings.

The police later went to his neighbor Ms. Wang Yuzhen's home and ransacked it, seizing over 40,000 yuan, a computer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang's daughter Hongmei happened to be home and was also arrested.

Ms. Yin Limei, who works at the Shulan No. 15 Middle School, was arrested by officers from the Beicheng Police Station on the same day.

Officers from the Shulan Domestic Security Team and the Shuiquliu Township Police Station arrested Ms. Li Borong on October 13. She was released because she failed the required physical examination for detention.

The director of the Lianhua Police Station led a group of officers to Mr. Xu Shikun's home and arrested him. His wife and daughter tried to stop them, and the daughter was thrown to the ground. The police also confiscated a desktop computer.

Police arrested Mr. Jiang Yuejun and his wife Yao Chunyan, and took them to the Beicheng Police Station. Police ransacked their home. Ms. Yao was released that night.

Police from the Nancheng Police Station arrested Ms. Niu Yuhui and Ms. Tian. They ransacked their rental home and confiscated computers, printers, MP3 players, cell phones, and other personal belongings.

The police arrested Ms. Tai Lijuan. They ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, and other materials.

Several other practitioners were harassed at their homes.
