(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Cheng Huaigen Sent to Jiazhou Prison
Mr. Cheng Huaigen was arrested on June 3, 2015, and detained in Shuangliu County Detention Center. He was taken to a hospital several times during his detention. The Shuangliu District Court sentenced him to four years in prison on June 16, 2016.
When his family went to visit him at the detention center to bring him clothes on September 30, 2016, detention center officials said no such person was there. His family later discovered that Mr. Cheng had been transferred to Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Sent to Shenyang Prison
Ms. Liu Xiangju, Ms. Hou Xiufen, and Ms. Guo Xiuzhi from the Liaozhong District were sentenced to prison in the Liaozhong District Court in the first half of 2016.
Ms. Liu was sentenced to seven years, Ms. Hou to four years, and Ms. Guo to three and a half years. All three were taken to Shenyang Prison a few days ago.
3. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zheng Huiwang Abused in Prison
Mr. Zheng Huiwang from Wangpo Village was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He is still in the No. 2 Ward of Baoding No. 2 Prison. It was reported recently that Mr. Zheng was deprived of sleep for five days. He was also forced to eat bodily waste.
4. [Ningde City, Fujian Province] Ms. Ruan Aiyin Sent to Mental Hospital
Ms. Ruan Aiyin was arrested by Wu Hua and other officers from Ningde City Police Department's Domestic Security Division on September 1, 2016. She was taken to a detention center. Ms. Ruan was handcuffed for several days between September 9 and 13. Her blood pressure spiked and she was taken to Ningde Mental Hospital by domestic security officers on the evening of September 30 and forced to take unknown drugs.
5. [Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. He Pingping Detained
Ms. He Pingping, 72, was arrested by officers from Xiangshan County 610 Office and State Security Division on September 29, 2016. They ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, paper cutter, and several boxes of Falun Gong books. Ms. He is now in the Xiangshan County Detention Center.

6. [Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province] Sisters Arrested
A'fen and her younger sister Yaxi went missing on September 29, 2016. Their whereabouts remain unknown. Several eyewitnesses saw A'fen being arrested in her own lingerie shop. Her younger sister was arrested at her own hair salon. The police also confiscated numerous personal belongings.
7. [Renshou County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Youshu Detained
Ms. Wu Youshu was arrested about a month ago by officers from Shuangliu Police Station in Chengdu City. She is being held in Shuangliu Detention Center.
8. [Tongren City, Guizhou Province] Six Practitioners Sent to Brainwashing Center
Tongren City officials set up a brainwashing center in Xieqiao Detention Center's No. 3 Center around August 30, 2016. Eleven practitioners who filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin (the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong) were held there for about a week.
Of the 11 practitioners arrested, six are from the local area: Mr. Zhang Siyuan, Ms. Sun Yali, Ms. Yang Chaoqun, a practitioner surnamed Ji, a practitioner surnamed Yin, and another practitioner whose name is not known. The other five are from out of town. Except for Mr. Zhang Siyuan, who remains in custody, 10 have returned home.
9. [Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Dong Chengfang Arrested
Mr. Dong Chengfang was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was arrested by Chen Tiejun and other officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 30, 2016. His home was ransacked. After the detention center refused to admit him, his family took him home that afternoon.
10. [Jiexi County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Hong Xirong and Ms. Zhou Suhua Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin
Ms. Hong Sirong and Ms. Zhou Suhua were harassed in their homes for suing Jiang Zemin by seven officers from Jiexi County Police Department, the Police Station, and the 610 Office on September 28, 2016.
