(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Huang Xuejun and Wang Huashan were illegally arrested after visiting a fellow practitioner, Ms. Sun, in Anlu City, Hubei Province.
The arrest occurred on September 10, 2016 when a neighbor reported the practitioners to the Tangdi Township police. They were detained in the Anlu City Detention Center. Officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Tangdi Police Station ransacked Ms. Sun's home that night.
Officer Zhang Weigang from the Tangdi Police Station delivered an arrest warrant to the Anlu City No. 2 High School two days later, where Mr. Wang worked as a teacher. Zhang told Mr. Wang's wife that her husband was to be detained for displaying a Falun Gong amulet in his car. He also reported the case to the City Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office.
The police have harassed Mr. Wang repeatedly since the onset of the persecution in 1999. He was previously detained, and had his Falun Gong books and video materials confiscated in 2007. Agents from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division attempted but failed to take him to a brainwashing center in 2010 and 2012.
Mr. Huang Xuejun was also previously persecuted. He was sentenced to prison and detention/brainwashing centers six times, and was held in forced labor camps two times.
