(Minghui.org) In another group arrest, seven Falun Gong practitioners were taken into custody in Wuhan City on July 12, 2016. Ms. Li Xian'e and five other practitioners who were visiting her were arrested in Wuchang District and Mr. Huang Liwu was arrested in Hankou District. The homes of several practitioners were ransacked by police.


More than twelve officers from the Huarong District Police Department, Ezhou City broke into Ms. Li Xian'e’s home at 5 p.m. on July 12. Ms. Li and five practitioners with her were arrested. They are: Mr. Fu Guoqi, Ms. Yang Haizhen, Ms. Xia Yulan, Mr. Chen Yanming and Ms. Xi Guoxiu.

Ms. Li's home was ransacked. Personal items including Ms. Li's husband's office equipment and her son's computers were taken away.

Plainclothes police took Mr. Fu to his home, where they confiscated materials related to Falun Gong. They also took the 60,000 yuan compensation given to him for the demolition of his house, claiming that the money had been sent to him by overseas practitioners.

The police confiscated Mr. Chen's work vehicle, a taxi. They returned it after his boss lodged a strong demand for the return of the car.

Mr. Huang Liwu was also arrested on July 12 by plainclothes officers from the Huarong District Police Department.

Undercover Operation Leads to Arrest

When practitioners went to Ezhou City in Ms. Li Xian'e's car to distribute information about Falun Gong, her license plate was recorded. The Ezhou City police traced the car to Ms. Li's address. A police agent who claimed to be a Falun Gong practitioner became friendly with them, leading to the raid and arrests at Ms. Li's home.


On the evening of July 13, the seven practitioners taken to the Ezhou City No. 1 Detention Center. The Procuratorate approved the arrests.

Mr. Fu was first transferred to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center, after which he was sent back to the detention center.

Ms. Yang became seriously ill and was rushed to a hospital. Her current situation is unknown. Ms. Li suffered a mental breakdown due to the pressure of the arrests. Mr. Chen is on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrests.
