Additional Persecution News from China – December 17, 2015 (Part I, 20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Fan Fuhai and Wife Arrested

Mr. Fan Fuhai and his wife were arrested on December 15, 2015.

2. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Suhuan Detained

Ms. Liu Suhuan was arrested by officers from the Nanhua Police Station, Tiexi District, on November 13, 2015, for handing out desk calendars with Falun Gong content. She is detained in the Anshan City No. 1 Detention Center.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Guochun Placed in Criminal Detention for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Yang Guochun from Duzhuang Village in Dongli District was arrested by officers from the local police station in November 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime. She has been under criminal detention in the Fengnian Village Detention Center for more than 20 days.

4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Qianli Detained Placed in Criminal Detention for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Liu Qianli from Jizhou City was arrested on November 17, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. He is held in the Hengshui City Detention Center. His case was turned over to the Taocheng District Procuratorate.

5. [Lindian County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Weibo Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Lindian County Political and Legal Affairs Committee staff showed up at Mr. Chen Weibo's home and harassed him on December 16, 2015. They questioned him about the lawsuit he filed against Jiang Zemin. They asked Mr. Chen to turn himself in.

6. [Guoyang County, Anhui Province] Mr. Xu Yongliang and Ms. Liu Yu Detained for 30 Days

Mr. Xu Yongliang was arrested on November 16, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer and hard disks.

Ms. Liu Yu was arrested on the same day. Both practitioners were placed under criminal detention for 30 days. Both face being officially placed under arrest.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yan Yanlan Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Yan Yanlan from the Dong'an District was arrested by officers from the Chang'an Police Station on December 15, 2015. She was taken to the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

8. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xie Mingjuan Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Xie Mingjuan was harassed for suing Jiang Zemin.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. An Zeping, Mr. Lu Shanzhong, Ms. Li Chunzhi, and Ms. Jia Yuchun were arrested by officers from the Yingchengzi Police Station on November 6, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. The four practitioners were detained for 10 days.

While Mr. Lu was under detention, thieves broke into his home. They stole 3,000 yuan and many securities certificates. Ms. An and Ms. Li, who had been working on odd jobs, were fired for missing 10 days of work.

10. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Yourong Arrested

Ms. Chen Yourong, a retired teacher from the No. 3 Elementary School of the No. 431 Factory, was arrested.

11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Zuoyun Detained

Ms. Chen Zuoyun from Fate Town was arrested by officers Jiang Litao and Li Yonghui, from the Fate Town Police Station, for handing out desk calendars with Falun Gong content on December 16, 2015. She was taken to the police station and then transferred to the Shulan City Detention Center.

12. [Fu'an City, Fujian Province] Ms. Pan Jinrong Detained

Ms. Pan Jinrong is detained in the Ningde City Detention Center.

13. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chang Xi'e Detained

Ms. Chang Xi'e is detained in the Matougang Detention Center.

14. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Wenmin Detained

Ms. Ma Wenmin's home was ransacked by officers from the Dayingmen Police Station. She was arrested and is still detained.

15. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Xu Shengli Held in Solitary Confinement

Mr. Xu Shengli from Shuiquan Township in the Shuangcheng District was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is held in the No. 2 Division in the No. 15 Ward of the Tailai Prison. He has been locked in a solitary confinement cell since December 2 or December 3, 2015. The prison officials did not allow his family to see him despite they had traveled a long way to see Mr. Xu.

16. [Wen County, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Pang Xiantao, 63, lives in Xiangyun Town. Her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin was intercepted by the postal courier and forwarded to the Wen County Public Security Organs. She was arrested at home by Li Kunyou and other officers from the Wen County Domestic Security Division on September 21, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated all Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, and printed materials. Ms. Pang has been held in the Jiaozuo City Detention Center since that day.

Mr. Zhao Ling and another practitioner with the surname of Shan, both from Wen County center area, were arrested and taken to the Jiaozuo Detention Center at the end of November 2015. They have been held there since then.

17. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Fan Shuxin and Ms. Dang Suhuan Harassed

Liu Yuta, secretary of the Mutoudeng Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee; Yu Jinsong, director of the Comprehensive Management Office; and officers from the Mutoudeng Police Station went to Mr. Fan Shuxin's home on December 10, 2015. As the door was locked, they asked around for information about Mr. Fan's son, who lives in downtown of Qinglong County. They harassed him.

Ms. Dang Suhuan's phone is monitored for her filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin.

18. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhao Wenying and Husband Mr. Chen Tianjie Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Zhao Wenying and her husband Mr. Chen Tianjie from Luqiao District were arrested on December 7, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Both were taken to the Luqiao Detention Center. No further information was available as of date of this writing.

19. [Beijing] Ms. Zhai Suzhen Detained

Ms. Zhai Suzhen, in her 50s, was arrested for preparing currency with Falun Gong facts on December 11, 2015. The police confiscated a printer and 15,000 yuan. Ms. Di was taken to the No. 1210 Ward of the Sujiatuo Detention Center on 25 Wenyang Road.

20. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Gang Detained

Mr. Kong Gang was arrested by Wang Pujun, deputy director, Jiefang Police Station, and officers on November 3, 2015. The officers ransacked Mr. Kong's home and confiscated a DVD burner, a computer, two printers, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and over 50 DVDs. Mr. Kong is detained in the Sujiatun Detention Center.
