Additional Persecution News from China – December 31, 2015 (24 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Lianzheng from the Anzhenxili Residential Community in Chaoyang District was arrested at home on December 29, 2015. Ms. Bai Sumei, Mr. Li Junfeng, Mr. Wu, Ms. Hou, Ms. Liu, Ms. Zhu Ying, and Ms. Che were also arrested at the same time.

Ms. Bai Sumei and Mr. Li Junfeng were taken to a detention center. Mr. Wu, Ms. Hou, and Ms. Liu were released for health reasons. The other three practitioners' situations are unknown.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Lu Lu Arrested

Ms. Lu Lu from the Hexi District was arrested at work by officers from the Hexi Police Department on the afternoon of December 30, 2015.

3. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Ding Jingxia Detained

Ms. Ding Jingxia was arrested at work by officers from the Donggongren Police Station on December 26, 2015. She is held in the Xixie Detention Center.

4. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Luo Chunrong and Ms. Wang Fengying Arrested

Ms. Luo Chunrong and Ms. Wang Fengying were arrested by officers from the Hongcheng Market Police Station when they were talking with people about Falun Gong on December 28, 2015.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Guiping Detained

Ms. Zhao Guiping, 60, was arrested by officers from the Chang'an Police Station in the Dadong District on October 30, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. She is held in the Zaohua Detention Center.

6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Mingshu Arrested

Mr. Wu Mingshu was lured by officers from the Anju Police Station on the morning of December 22, 2015. They told Mr. Wu to go to the Suining area to pick up something. As soon as Mr. Wu arrived in Suining, he was arrested. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated all his Falun Dafa books and informational materials.

7. [Yuanyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Ding Xiaoping Detained

Ms. Ding Xiaoping was arrested at home by officers from the police department on December 29, 2015. She is held in the Xidayuan Detention Center.

8. [Zunyi County, Guizhou Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhao Minghui was recently detained for 15 days. Mr. Wei Yuanhua and Mr. Li Guoneng are held in the Sancha Detention Center. Ms. Yang Zhimin is held in the Zunyi No. 2 Detention Center.

9. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Heqing Detained

Ms. Liu Heqing was arrested at work by officers from the Yisuhe Town 610 Office and the police station on the morning of December 20, 2015. She is held in a detention center for 15 days of detention.

10. [Dai County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Liu Ruixing Detained

Mr. Liu Ruixing from Ekou Town was arrested by officers from the Ekou Town Police Station after he handed out desk calendars with Falun Gong content to his students on December 24, 2015. He is held in the Dai County Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Liangfeng was arrested by officers from the Xinzhou City Police Department and the Qiyibeilu Police Station on the morning of December 29, 2015. He was taken to the Xinzhou City Detention Center.

12. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Shufang and Other Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Shufang, a retired worker from the Suncun Mining affiliated with the Xinkuang Group, and other practitioners were arrested by the police while they were distributing desk calendars with Falun Gong content in Yuejiazhuang Township on the morning of December 27, 2015. They are held in the Beishi Detention Center in Xintai City.

13. [Xintai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Jun Arrested

Mr. Li Jun was recently arrested by local Domestic Security Division officers for suing Jiang Zemin.

Mr. Bai Shuhui and his wife, from Dashiwo Village, Dashiwo Town, Fangshan District, were arrested by the local police on November 15, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. The couple are held in the Fangshan Detention Center.

15. [Mengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xu Huailan Arrested

Ms. Xu Huailan from Zhangwa Village in Huaishu Township was arrested by officers from the Huaishu Township Police Station on November 10, 2015. She has since returned home.

16. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Yourong Detained

Ms. Chen Yourong, 60, was arrested at home by state security officers in the Yanjiang District on August 19, 2015. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Er'ehu area in Yingjie Town, Yanjiang District. Ms. Chen was transferred to the Ziyang Detention Center on December 23, 2015.

17. [Shanghai] Ms. Huang Linqin Detained

Ms. Huang Linqin from the Pudong New Area was arrested when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on December 24, 2015. She is held in the Pudong New Area No. 2 Detention Center.

18. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tan Yuling Detained

Ms. Tan Yuling from the Zhangdian District was arrested while she distributing Falun Gong informational materials at noon on December 21, 2015. She is held in the Zibo City Detention Center.

19. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Li Jun Detained

Mr. Li Jun from the Yanhu District was arrested by officers from the Yanhu District Domestic Security Division and the Xicheng Police Station on December 17, 2015. He was detained for five days.

20. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Jiamin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jiamin from Niujiapai Township in Baodi District was arrested by officers from the Niujiapai Police Station on the morning of December 3, 2015. She was released that night.

21. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Shen Guosheng was arrested by Zhang Yaping, head of the Patrol Team of the Wang Village Police Station, and other officers on the evening of December 14, 2015. Mr. Shen's younger sister Ms. Shen Yanxia and their mother Ms. Gao Junlan were also taken to the police station.

Mr. Shen and Ms. Shen were placed in administrative detention in the Taiyuan City Detention Center for five days. Ms. Gao was released due to her old age.

22. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Fuping Arrested

Ms. Gao Fuping was arrested by court bailiffs outside Longjiang Court on December 29, 2015. She was there to attend the trial against Ms. Zhan Shufen, who had been held for a year. Ms. Gao was taken to the Tongda Police Station in Longjiang County.

23. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chang Shouxuan and Mr. Tang Jianying were each sentenced to one year and eight months in prison and Ms. Xu Kai to one year and six months. Ms. Li Li was sentenced to more than five years.

24. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhang Yi, Mr. Liao Ancai, and Mr. Guo Bing were each sentenced to three years in prison by the Xichag City Court on December 25, 2015. The three practitioners were each fined 10,000 yuan. All three refused to sign on the verdicts.
