Additional Persecution News from China – December 26, 2015 (23 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shuyan and Ms. Liu Xiangge Sentenced to Prison

The Kuancheng District Court held a court hearing on December 25, 2015, for Ms. Wang Shuyan. She was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison, and Ms. Liu Xiangge was sentenced to a one-and-a-half year term.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ren Xiuqin Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Ren Xiuqin from Hushitai Town in the Shenbei New Area had been sentenced to three years in prison. The Shenyang Intermediate Court upheld the sentence.

3. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chengyu, Ms. Wang Qingxian, Ms. Shen Guizhen, and Ms. Fu Guishan were arrested on the morning of December 24, 2015, by the deputy head of the Mishan City Domestic Security Division and other officers, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

4. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Lihua Detained

Ms. Cui Lihua was arrested by Jin Xidong and officers from the Chengzihe Police Department on December 23, 2015. She was detained for seven days.

5. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Qiao Jianhui Detained

Mr. Qiao Jianhui from the Dawukou District was arrested by officers from the Dawukou District Criminal Police Division on December 23, 2015. He was taken to the Shizuishan Detention Center.

6. [Chengdu, City, Sichuan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yanchuan from the Xindu District, who is disabled, was arrested on the evening of December 21, 2015, by officers from the Xindu District Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the Chengdong Police Station.

Ms. Ding Hui, Mr. Zheng Bin, Mr. Zhou Hongjie, Mr. Deng Zhongsu, Mr. Zeng Youxian, and Mr. Lin Xiaoquan were arrested at the same time and were held in the police station. The officers confiscated a bank card of about 8,000 yuan, about 10,000 yuan in cash, four computers, eight printers, and a DVD burner.

The practitioners were taken to the Xindu District Hospital for a health examinations, and were forced to sign documents. After that, Ms. Zhu, Mr. Zeng, Mr. Zhou, and Mr. Deng were released. Mr. Lin, Mr. Zheng, and Ms. Ding were taken to the Xindu District Detention Center.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhu Yuping and Husband Detained

Ms. Zhu Yuping and her husband received calls from officers from the Dayingmen Police Station on December 15, 2015. They were told to go to the police station, where they were arrested. The couple was detained for 15 days.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Yuzhi Arrested and Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Yuzhi, 53, from Fuyu County in Heilongjiang Province, was arrested in Beijing by officers from the local police station in the Changping District on December 21, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qi Fengqiu Detained

Ms. Qi Fengqiu from the Huanggu District was arrested by officers from the Minglian Police Station in early November 2015. She is being held in the Shenyang Zaohua Detention Center.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] More Than Ten Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liu Chenxue and more than ten other practitioners who were studying Falun Gong together on Yinshaheng Street, were arrested by police on the morning of December 22, 2015. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, Falun Gong informational materials, and calendars with Falun Gong content. Seven of the practitioners were released the following evening. The whereabouts of Mr. Liu and all the other practitioners are unknown.

11. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Duan Guaike Arrested

Mr. Duan Guaike was arrested by the police in mid-December.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Luo Goulong Detained

Mr. Luo Guolong from Yinjia Township in the Shenbei New Area was arrested bypolice on September 8, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. Mr. Luo suffered severe stomach bleeding due to torture. He is still being held in the Shenbei District Detention Center.

13. [Suiling County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Xuefeng Arrested

Mr. Li Xuefeng was arrested by Gao Yubo and officers from the Sihaidian Police Department on the morning of August 29, 2015. The officers ransacked his home. Gao Yubo forced Mr. Li to sign interrogation notes before his release.

14. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cong Guiping Detained

Ms. Cong Guiping was arrested by Development Zone police officers on December 21, 2015. She was taken to the Development Zone Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

15. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Meng Xiangchang Detained

Mr. Meng Xiangchang from Erdaowan Town was arrested by officers from the Erdaowan Town Police Station on the morning of December 24, 2015. He was taken to the Fuyu County Detention Center.

16. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Xifeng County Police Department in Tieling City, and the Xincheng Police Station in Xinmin City broke into Ms. Zhao Min's home on December 24, 2015, and ransacked it. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Wang Lihua were arrested.

Ms. Zhang Suqin, Ms. Fu Deju, and another practitioner, from Yujia Village in Daliutun Town, were arrested by police at the same time. Their homes were ransacked.

17. [Linxi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Lina and Mr. Chen Jianhua Detained

Ms. Xu Lina and fellow practitioners went to the Yaozhuang Market in Laoguanzhai Township to tell people about Falun Gong and the persecution on December 23, 2015. They were reported to police and arrested on their way home, by officers from the Laoguanzhai Police Station. Two elderly practitioners were released and picked up by their families. Ms. Xu was taken to the Xingtai City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days of detention. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Mr. Chen Jianhua was arrested by police at home on December 23, 2015, for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. He is being held in the Tong Village Detention Center. It was reported that he would be detained for 15 days.

18. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Yun and Ms. Yu Hongmei Detained

Mr. Ma Yun and Ms. Yu Hongmei were arrested on December 22, 2015 by officers from the Wanzhuang Police Station, for telling people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners are being held in the Langfang City Detention Center.

19. [Jiansanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Shi Mengchang and Wife Ms. Han Shujuan Arrested

Mr. Shi Mengchang and his wife Ms. Han Shujuan were arrested on December 24, 2015. Their home was ransacked.

20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Elderly Ms. Mao Detained

Elderly Ms. Mao from the Dongxihu District was arrested in early December 2015, and taken to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center for 15 days of detention. She was then transferred to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center. She has not returned home.

21. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Jinping Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wu Jinping was arrested on November 9, 2015. She was recently sentenced to a seven-year prison term by the Shuangta Court. Ms. Wu has become very weak from abuse in the detention center. Two people had to help her during the trial. She has appealed her sentence to a higher court.

22. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Lingling Arrested

Ms. Zhou Lingling from the Nangang District was arrested by officers from the 110 Response Unit on December 14, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

23. [Anyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Cui Duande Detained

Ms. Cui Duande, 65, from Haojing Village in Duli Township, was arrested by officers from the Anyang County Police Department in mid-December 2015, for suing Jiangsu Zemin. She was taken to the Anyang County Detention Center for ten days of detention.
