Additional Persecution News from China – August 25, 2015 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jiang Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Jiang Suzhen was arrested by officers including Kong Xingguo (孔兴国) on August 18, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former dictator of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She was released after being held at the local police station for five hours.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xue Yuying and Ms. Yin Xiuping Arrested

Ms. Xue Yuying and Ms. Yin Xiuping were arrested by Baoshan Town Police Station officers on August 23, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Huangdao District Police Department. Ms. Yin was released that evening; Ms. Xue is still being detained.

3. [Fanzhi County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Meizhen and Ms. Qiao Jinzhi Arrested

Ms. Wang Meizhen and Ms. Qiao Jinzhi were arrested by officers from the Jinshanpu Police Station on August 22, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to Xinzhou Detention Center by officers from Fanzhi County Domestic Security Division.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Xiuqin Arrested

Ms. Yu Xiuqin was arrested by officers from the Songbei District and Taitun Town Police Station on August 20, 2015.

5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Zhang Chunmin Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Chunmin, was sentenced to prison for 4.5 years in the Nanming District Court. The sentence handed by Guiyang City Intermediate People's Court was recently upheld. She was taken to Guizhou Women's Prison.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Li Fengqin Detained

Ms. Li Fengqin, 62, was arrested and her home was ransacked on August 13, 2015. She was detained at Fangshan Detention Center and released on August 20.

7. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Including Mr. Zhang Zhishan Arrested

Several practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Zhishan, were arrested by Xiyingmen Police Station officers in the Xiqing District on August 20, 2015.

8. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Yujie Arrested

Mr. Liu Yujie was arrested at home by officers from the Dongxing Police Department and Sub-District Office in the Hunjiang District on August 21, 2015.

9. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Zhenwei Detained

Mr. Zhou Zhenwei was arrested by officers from Nanshan Police Station on August 21, 2015, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is detained at Liangshuihe Detention Center.

10. [Wuqiang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Qizhen Arrested

Ms. Li Qizhen was arrested on August 21, 2015. The police confiscated computers, printers, DVDs, and other personal belongings.

11. [Yangxin County, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Zaoxiang Arrested

Ms. Wang Zaoxiang was arrested by officers from the Yangxin County 610 Office on August 24, 2015.

12. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Xiaowei Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiaowei was arrested by officers including Zhang Ming from Shaoguo Town Police Station on August 23, 2015.

13. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhou Kaiguo Detained

Mr. Zhou Kaiguo was arrested by Tieqiao Police Station officers on August 13, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is now in Kai County Detention Center.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Wenguo Arrested

Mr. Li Wenguo was arrested on July 16, 2015. The police confiscated three cell phones, a laptop computer, 4,000 yuan in cash, and his car.

15. [Nenjiang County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Haitao and Mr. Shen Shilong Detained

Mr. Zhang Haitao and Mr. Shen Shilong were arrested by officers from the Nehe City Domestic Security Division on May 13 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated Mr. Zhang's computers and printers. Both practitioners are detained in Nehe City Detention Center.

Ms. Qu Xiumin was arrested at work on August 24, 2015, by officers from the Baiqi Police Station.

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dong Jingzhe and Mr. Sun Shiyou Detained

Mr. Dong Jingzhe and Mr. Sun Shiyou were arrested at Mr. Dong's home on August 24, 2015, by officers from the Jixian Police Station. They are detained in Jixian Police Station.

Ms. Hu Hongying and her father were arrested by officers from the Rongcheng County Domestic Security Division and the Zhangshi Town Police Station on August 23, 2015.

Ms. Wu Zhanmei, Ms. Qian Fengling, and Ms. Zhou Xiaoyi were arrested by officers including Li Junling from the Zhaoyanghe Town Police Station on August 22, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are all detained at the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.

20. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Liu Detained

Mr. Yang Liu, 40, was arrested by Qingju Town Police Station officers on May 12, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held in the Nanchong City Detention Center.

Ms. He Baohua was arrested by Xiangcheng County Police Department officers on May 2, 2015. She is detained at Xuchang City Detention Center.

22. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yin Guiling Arrested

Ms. Yin Guiling was arrested at home by officers from Bayan Town No. 4 Police Station on August 21, 2015.

Ms. Liu Zhourong was arrested by officers from the Yongding Police Department on August 21, 2015, for hanging up banners with information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Yongding Police Department.

24. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Mao Yaning Detained

Ms. Mao Yaning was arrested on August 24, 2015 by officers including Zhao Tonglu (赵同禄) from the Taocheng District Police Department. The police ransacked her home. She is being detained in Renminglu Police Station in the Taocheng District.

Ms. Zhang Yinying was arrested by Xinyuanli Police Station officers on July 23, 2015, after being reported by officers from the Jingan Community Committee when she removed posters that slandered Falun Gong. She was detained in Chaoyang Detention Center and later released.
