Thoughts on Safety and the Effect of Filing Criminal Complaints Against Jiang Zemin
(Minghui.org) Many practitioners outside China have recently joined the effort to file criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, including some who have maintained a low profile because they are working on key projects. I would like to share my thoughts on this.
Number vs. Effect
In my understanding, the goal of filing lawsuits is to inform people about the severity of the persecution so that they can position themselves for a better future. Therefore, a better outcome is more important rather than simply higher numbers.
For example, some practitioners have not been diligent in cultivation. This lawsuit could get them involved and provide an opportunity for them to validate the Fa and save people. Otherwise, if we just focus on practitioners who are already busy with key projects and maintain a low profile, the numbers will not increase much and the security of these projects could be comprised.
Maintaining a low profile is not due to fear. With the Chinese Communist Party always looking for ways to cause damage, we need to be aware of security issues.
An Opportunity for Everyday People
It is ideal to let more people know about the lawsuit, so that they will sign petitions in support. By standing with the righteous, they will have a better future.
If we limit our efforts just to practitioners, we will be providing a complete list of overseas Chinese practitioners with detailed information such as their names, addresses, contract information, and past experience. This is something the vicious regime planned to do but has not yet.
What the Numbers Tell Us
Over 166,000 practitioners have sued Jiang as of August 27. This number not only highlights the severe crime committed by Jiang, but also indicates that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will prevail.
On the other hand, this is just the beginning. Tens of millions of practitioners have been harmed as a result of the persecution, and their families, too. Their friends, neighbors, and relatives have witnessed this injustice. And, as more people stand up to support what is right, Chinese people and the society will have a better future.
