(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 61 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Tiangongsi Township Police Station officers arrested Ms. Sun Huiying and Ms. Li Guirong from Gaozhuang Village on August 17, 2015. They also ransacked the practitioners' homes.

On August 18, the officers arrested Mr. Yao Fushan at home.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Tu Guangsheng and Wife Ms. Gu Qing Arrested

Shuangyang District Domestic Security Division officers arrested Mr. Tu Guangsheng and his wife Ms. Gu Qing at home on the evening of August 13, 2015. They confiscated Falun Dafa books. The couple were taken to the Weizigou Detention Center. Ms. Gu was released after failing the physical. Mr. Tu is being held for 10 days of detention.

3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xie Wei Abused in Harbin Women's Prison

Ms. Xie Wei was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2013. She has been held in the Harbin Women's Prison. She was just transferred from the No. 7 Ward to the No. 9 Ward. She has to sit straight on a small stool from 4 a.m. till 9 p.m. If she moves, she will be punched or kicked.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Yuhua Detained

Ms. Pan Yuhua from the Xiangjia Village, Wangliu Neighborhood Administration in the Weicheng District, was arrested by a plainclothes officer when she was posting Falun Gong informational materials on August 17, 2015. She was taken to the Weifang Detention Center.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Fu Guoqing Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Fu Guoqing from the Shijingshan District was arrested at home on August 11, 2015, after she filed her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. She was taken to the Shijingshan District Brainwashing Center.

6. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Wuzhi County Police Department, 610 Office Domestic Security Division, and Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Xiaozhi, Ms. Guo Guilian, Ms. Guo Guiling, and Ms. Zhao Guoying. The four practitioners' homes were ransacked.

7. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Over 30 Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Jing Niansong, Mr. Hou Yufu, Mr. Song Shuyao, and more than 30 other practitioners from Puji Town were arrested by officers from the Puji Police Station when they were studying Falun Gong teachings at a practitioner's home on August 19, 2015.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Chunlan Detained

Officers from the Kanjia Police Station arrested Ms. Li Chunlan at home on the morning of August 18, 2015. She is now in the Weifang Detention Center.

9. [Tianjin] Mr. Gao Xuewen Arrested

Mr. Gon Xuewen from Houtai Village in the Xiqing District was arrested by local police on the afternoon of August 19, 2015.

10. [Beijing] Mr. Cai Yuanshou and Wife Ms. Li Bixian and Daughter Arrested

Officers from the Kejiyuan Police Station, Fengtai District broke into Mr. Cai Yuanshou's home and arrested him, his wife Ms. Li Bixian, and their non-practitioner daughter on the morning of August 18, 2015. Their whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Yu Zhifen Arrested

Ms. Yu Zhifen was arrested by Xiaozhan Town Police Station officers in the Jinnan District on August 15, 2015.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang and Ms. Song Arrested

Officers from the Linghe Police Station, Anqiu County, arrested Ms. Zhang and Ms. Song at a farmers market where the two practitioners were telling people about Falun Gong on August 19, 2015.

13. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Gu Meihua Detained

Ms. Gu Meihua, in her 60s, from Nanchang County was arrested by officers from the Nanchang County Police Department on August 11, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong informational materials. She is being held in the Nanchang County Detention Center.

14. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Meiying and Mr. Zhou Jiaxiong Arrested

Ms. Tang Meiying and Mr. Zhou Jiaxiong were arrested when they were hanging a banner with information about the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin on August 18, 2015. Both practitioners are being held in the Leiyang Domestic Security Division.

15. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Tingfeng Detained

Mr. Zhang Tingfeng from Migu Village, Youzha Town, Luan County, was arrested and taken to the Luan County Detention Center on August 5, 2015, after he mailed his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. He has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

16. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Hong Detained

Ms. Wu Hong from the Nangang District was arrested by Qi Xiangguo, a residential police officer, and other officers from the Xinchun Police Station on the morning of August 15, 2015. She is being held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center.

17. [Tanghe County, Henan Province] Mr. Chen Xinnian and Wife Ms. Peng Tao Detained

Mr. Chen Xinnian, who works at the No. 2 Oil Production Plant, Nanyang Oilfield, and his wife Ms. Peng Tao were arrested on August 12, 2015. Mr. Chen is being held in the Tanghe County Detention Center. Ms. Peng is in the Prison Supervision Branch within the Nanyang City Police Department.

18. [Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Gaiping and Ms. Xu Jianping Detained

Ms. Zhao Gaiping and Ms. Xu Jianping were arrested by Qiyibeilu Police Station officers on August 14, 2015. She is being held in the Xinzhou City Detention Center for 15 days.

19. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Yourong and Ms. Liu Shufen Arrested

Ms. Chen Yourong and Ms. Liu Shufen from the Yanjiang District were arrested on August 19, 2015. Their homes were ransacked.

20. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Zunhua Domestic Security Division of the Dangyu Town Police Station arrested Ms. Lin Xiuling and her husband at their home in Lizhuangzi Village on the morning of August 20, 2015. Ms. Zhan Shuliang from Dangyu Village was also arrested at that time. The three practitioners are being held in the Dangyu Town Police Station.

21. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Lihua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Lihua, 60, was arrested at home by officers from the Xiyingmen Police Station in the Xiqing District on August 20, 2015. She is being held in the Xiyingmen Police Station.

22. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Lanxiang and Ms. Zhang Xiaolan Arrested

Ms. Song Lanxiang, 62, and Ms. Zhang Xiaolan, 68, from Yingqiu Town were arrested recently for distributing Falun Gong informational materials at a farmers market in Linghe Town. Both practitioners are being held in the Linghe Police Station.

23. [Ji'an City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Xuejuan Detained

Ms. Liu Xuejuan was arrested by officers from the Ji'an City Police Department on August 10, 2015. She is now in the Ji'an City Detention Center.

24. [Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wan and Ms. Wang Linli Arrested

Mr. Wan, 50, was arrested on April 13, 2015, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials and Shen Yun DVDs. He is being held in the Linchuan District Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Linli, 59, was reported to the police by Mr. Wan's wife for delivering Falun Gong informational materials to Mr. Wan's home. Ms. Wang was arrested on April 15, 2015.

25. [Qian'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Mei Arrested

Ms. Dong Mei was arrested by officers from the Qian'an County Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 20, 2015, after she mailed her complaint against Jiang Zemin. Her home was ransacked.

26. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yanjie Detained

Ms. Wang Yanjie was arrested by three officers from the Huashanlu Police Station on August 19, 2015. She was first taken to the police station and later transferred to a detention center.

27. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guijun Sentenced to Three and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Li Guijun was arrested on August 14, 2015. She has been held at the Liaocheng Detention Center. The Linqing City Court held a trial on August 19 and sentenced her to three and a half years in prison.

28. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Lihua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Lihua was arrested by officers from the Xiyingmen Police Station in the Xiqing District on August 21, 2015.

29. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wang Shixin Arrested

Mr. Wang Shixin was arrested on August 19, 2015. The police ransacked his home.

Mr. Hu Zhanting was arrested by officers from the Heping Police Station on August 19, 2015. His home was ransacked. He was taken to the Xindi Detention Center.

Ms. Gong Wenyu from the North No. 8 Quarters of the Hexi District Institute of Physical Culture was arrested by officers from the Tiantajie Police Station on the morning of August 20, 2015.
