Additional Persecution News from China – August 17, 2015 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Zhou Shuquan, a security guard from the Sanyi No.5 Brigade, and officers from the Mengyang Town Police Station arrested Ms. Xie Changqin, Ms. Xie Shufen, and Ms. Tan Yuru on the morning of July 29, 2015.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Xiujun Detained

Ms. Zheng Xiujun was arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) informational materials on August 15, 2015. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Tiegun and Wife Ms. Wang Jiling Arrested

Mr. Wang Tiegun and his wife Ms. Wang Jiling were arrested on August 15, 2015.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Miao Xiufen Arrested

Ms. Miao Xiufen was arrested in mid-July 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Xiuling Arrested

Ms. Yang Xiuling was arrested by officers from the Qingbinlu Police Station on August 13, 2015.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ren Xuezhi and Wife Ms. Yu Xueying Detained

Mr. Ren Xuezhi and his wife Ms. Yu Xueying, from the Wangchu Village, Erba Township, Hulan District, were arrested and taken to the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center by local police officers on August 12, 2015. The couple is being held for 15 days of detention.

7. [Yanshou County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jing Haiying Detained

Ms. Jing Haiying, from the Mazhangtun area, Qingchuan Township, was arrested on August 12, 2015 by local police officers under the excuse of verifying whether she had filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. She was taken to the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

8. [Yangxin County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Mingying, Ms. Li Shufen, and Ms. Li Huanrong, from Jiehe Village, were arrested on August 14, 2015 for mailing lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. The three practitioners are being held in the Yangxin Detention Center.

Ms. Shi Wenzhi from Beiguan Village, Yangxin Town was arrested on August 5, 2015. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Yangxin Detention Center for 10 days of detention.

9. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Ping Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Ping went to the Chengguan Domestic Security Division on August 12, 2015 demanding the return of confiscated items. She was arrested and taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center.

10. [Beijing] Six Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Doudian Town Police Station in Fangshan District arrested Ms. Wang Xiuhong at noon on August 14, 2015.

At the same time, Mr. Zhao Wanjun, Ms. Liu Shuxian, Ms. Wang Xiuqin, Mr. Wang Quan, and Ms. Wang Jinling were lured to the police station. The five practitioners were arrested and taken to the Fangshan District Detention Center. Ms. Wang Xiuqin and Ms. Wang Jinling were released and brought home by their families because they had symptoms of high blood pressure.

11. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Song Huangen Detained

Officers from the Dingzhou City Police Department, the 610 Office, and the Gaopeng Town Police Station broke into Mr. Song Huangen's home in Qibao Village and arrested him. They also ransacked his home. Mr. Song was taken to the Dingzhou City Detention Center.

12. [Beijing] Zhang Chunlian and Mr. Xi Zhongke Arrested

Ms. Zhang Chunlian from Shihe Village, Jingzhuang Township, Yanqing County was arrested on the morning of August 14, 2015. At the same time Mr. Xi Zhongke from Jingzhuang Village was also arrested at a shop he owns in Yanqing County.

13. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Yafan Detained

Ms. Wang Yafan from the Jianshan District went to the Wohongqiao Police Station to pick up items on August 14, 2015. She was arrested and taken to the Shuangyashan City Detention Center.

14. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Xiuying and Ms. Lu Xiuping Detained

Ms. Lu Xiuying and her sister Ms. Lu Xiuping went to Jichang Road to tell people about Falun Gong on the morning of August 13, 2015. The sisters were arrested by officers from the Jichang Police Station. Both practitioners were taken to the Xingzheng Detention Center.

15. [Beijing] Mr. Shi Delong Arrested

Mr. Shi Delong from the Shengshuiyu Village, Hancunhe Town, Fangshan District was arrested by officers from the Hancunhe Police Station on August 13, 2015. His whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Wucheng County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Wucheng County Police Department arrested four practitioners in Jamaying Town on July 31, 2015. The practitioners' homes were ransacked. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and packages of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Bai Ziyu, Ms. Bai Zibin, and Ms. Li Yuzhen were detained from 7 to 15 days, then released. Ms. Dong Fenghong was taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center.

17. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Feng and Ms. Yu Guifang Sentenced to Prison

The Tianqiao District Court in Jinan City announced verdicts for Mr. Yang Feng and Ms. Yu Guifang in the Jinan City Detention Center on August 12, 2015. Both practitioners were sentenced to four years in prison.

18. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Liu Yuping Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Liu Yuping from the Hongshan District was sentenced to four years in prison in early July 2015. She is being held in the Harqin Banner Detention Center.
