Additional Persecution News from China – July 14, 2015 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners, including Ms. Zhang Hehua and Ms. Ren Yulian, were arrested by officers from the Zhangjiakou City Police Department and the Huaian County Police Department on the morning of July 8, 2015. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Ren are being detained at the Zhangjiakou Detention Center. The six other practitioners were released.

2. [Beijing] Whereabouts of Ms. Wang Jinling and Ms. Li Shuwen Unknown

Ms. Wang Jinling and Ms. Li Shuwen went to the Fangshan District Post Office to mail a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former communist dictator, on July 11, 2015. They were later arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station. The police ransacked their homes. Their whereabouts are still unknown.

3. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Fenglan and Ms. Wei Meisen Arrested

Ms. Wang Fenglan and Ms. Wei Meisen were arrested at the Luyuan District Post Office by officers including captain Du Hongbo from the Luyuan District Domestic Security Division on July 3, 2015, as they were mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Zhang Yongli was arrested at home on July 9, 2015.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Songlin Arrested

Mr. Yang Songlin was arrested by officers from the Shuangcheng Domestic Security Division on July 11, 2015, for mailing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin via EMS (Express Mail Service).

6. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuqin and Ms. Han Yufeng were arrested by two soldiers on the morning of July 12, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.

7. [Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Jie Arrested

Ms. Sun Jie was arrested by two police officers on July 13, 2015.

8. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Qingxiu Detained

Ms. Zhao Qingxiu was arrested on July 12, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained at the Jiaozuo Detention Center.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Mu Yonghui Detained

Ms. Mu Yonghui was arrested by officers from the Yingchengzi Police Station on July 12, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained at the Jinjiajie Detention Center for seven days.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Huang Hongyun and Ms. Yan Chunmei Detained

Mr. Huang Hongyun and Ms. Yan Chunmei were arrested by officers from the Sandian Police Station on the afternoon of June 3, 2015, for posting stickers containing Falun Gong information. They were taken to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

11. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Sheng Xiuhuan and Others Taken to Brainwashing Center

Several practitioners including Ms. Sheng Xiuhuan were arrested and taken to the Aohanqi Detention Center on July 2, 2015. They were transferred to the Chifeng City Brainwashing Center on July 12.

12. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Guo Guanghui Detained

Ms. Guo Guanghui was recently arrested for posting stickers with information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained at the Naxi Detention Center.

13. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Shikang’s Health Declines Due to Persecution

Mr. Chen Shikang was arrested on June 26, 2013, and later taken to the Naxi Detention Center. He developed colorectal cancer after being persecuted, and had surgery.

14. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wu Houyu Detained

Mr. Wu Houyu as arrested by officers from the Hushi Town Police Station on July 8, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was detained for 15 days.

15. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Detained

Ms. Sun Xiuzhen, Ms. Guo Qingfeng, and Ms. Wang Cuilian were detained for ten days. They were released on June 26, 2015, after being extorted of 10,000 yuan by Wang Yiguan, captain of the Domestic Security Division of the Tonghua Police Department.

Mr. Zhang Fuchun, Mr. Zhang Guoyou, Ms. Deng Yuqing, and Ms. Yan Guangling are still detained.

Mr. Chen Xinan was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Fancheng District Police Department on the morning of July 13, 2015. The police ransacked his home.

17. [Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Erli Detained

Ms. Liu Erli, 73, elderly and disabled, is detained at the Wangling Prison in Hunan Province.

18. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wu Huanhuan’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wu Huanhuan was arrested on July 11, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Rongfang and Ms. Yang Shuhua Detained

Ms. Chen Rongfang and Ms. Yang Shuhua were arrested on May 14, 2015, when they were distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

Ms. Yang's mother was abused by police when she went to the 610 Office to ask about her daughter on June 2. Ms. Yang's mother and sister went to the 610 Office again on July 7, but they did not see anyone.

Ms. Chen's husband received notification of her arrest on July 10, 2015.
