Five Practitioners Arrested in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia

(Minghui.org) Five Falun Gong practitioners from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia were arrested on July 22, 2015 after being stopped at a freeway exit. Their car was impounded.

Those arrested were Mr. Qu Yazhong, Mr. Qi Hongshu, Wai Guoyu, Ms. Wang Jinrong, and Ms. Zhang Chunyan.

Mr. Qu tried to escape and was beaten by police. The Songshan District Detention Center refused to admit him because of his injuries until a hospital determined that his injuries were not life-threatening.

The detention center also refused to allow Mr. Qu's lawyer to meet with him.

Officers searched the practitioners' homes confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, printers, criminal complaint documents against former Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin, and other personal belongings.
