(Minghui.org) As more and more Falun Gong practitioners sue Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of their belief, local authorities all over China have intensified their efforts to stem the tide of lawsuits being filed against the former Chinese dictator.
Police have been dispatched to verify who filed lawsuits, but in many cases their questioning and threats proved useless when practitioners took the opportunity to explain why they must bring Jiang to justice. The practitioners' honesty and straightforwardness earned the respect of many officers. Below are a few examples.
“We Indeed Sued Jiang!”
Officials from the Qishan Neighborhood Committee of Yantai City, Shandong Province, asked Jingouzhai Village Falun Gong practitioners on August 5 whether they had filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. All the practitioners answered directly and squarely, “Yes, Jiang Zemin is responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong. And, yes, we indeed sued him!”
Police Officer: “I Admire Your Courage”
A Falun Gong practitioner from Xinbin County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, was also questioned. A police officer called him on August 14, asking if he had filed the lawsuit and was a Falun Gong practitioner.
The practitioner told the officer, “Yes, I sued Jiang Zemin. Do you know how much damage he did to our family? Did you read my complaint?” The officer said politely, “I have your file in my hand right now and others' lawsuits, as well. In fact, I admire your courage. I have called many practitioners, and none of you have been afraid to admit it!”
Police Officer Quits the CCP
Police officers from the Tiexi District in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, started calling Falun Gong practitioners on August 7 and ordered them to come to the police station to answer questions about their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. The police also kept calling practitioners' family members and went to harass practitioners at home late at night.
Some practitioners told the police, “It is my constitutional right to sue Jiang Zemin. Stop harassing me for it.” Others said, “I did file the lawsuit. But I refuse to go to the police station to be questioned about it.”
Another practitioner went to the police station and talked to the officers about practicing Falun Gong. He told them, “Jiang is guilty of persecuting Falun Gong. He has deprived us of freedom of belief and broken into our homes, among other forms of abuse.”
A police officer told practitioners that he was just unwillingly following orders. The officer agreed to quit CCP and its associated organizations in private.
