(Minghui.org) On July 28, 2015, more than 10 Falun Dafa practitioners in Bin County, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested. Most of them were detained for 15 days.
On August 3, family visitation day at Bin County Detention Center, local practitioners met for the first time in a week and exchanged thoughts on this recent large-scale arrest. We reached the following understandings:
2. Because this persecution occurred, we must look inward to rectify any thoughts that are not on the Fa. At the same time we should correct our starting point to focus on saving people instead of on the persecution.3. We should not be intimidated by the arrogance of evil that appears on the surface. We should recover our group Fa study in a timely manner to improve as one body. Keeping our thinking on the Fa is the safest thing we can do.4. Publicize the perpetrators' information in time to facilitate practitioners in a wider area to form one body.5. We should actively cooperate with the families of detained practitioners to ask for their release. We may hire lawyers if necessary.
Now, looking back, why did this recent act of persecution occur? It needs our serious reflection.
What happened beforehand? Most practitioners in Bin County and its towns received information on the evening of July 27 that there would be countywide arrests on the morning of July 28. Their responses varied. Some said they would pack up their things, leave home, and hide outside. Some said they would stay at home to study the Fa and send righteous thoughts. Some said we should not acknowledge the evil's arrangement and must disintegrate it with righteous thoughts. Some said we were not afraid to write our indictments, so if anyone comes, we just clarify the truth to save them.
What happened after the arrests occurred? In Ningyuan Town, some practitioners wanted to expose the persecution right away, but they could not reach the practitioner in charge of doing so. Or, after a practitioner travelled a long distance to look for practitioner Xu, the family member said Xu had left home and wouldn't be back for months. In fact, Xu was nearby, but the family member refused to say where. In Bin County, some Fa study groups stopped meeting after the arrests; some practitioners went out of town to avoid persecution; and other dared not attend the group Fa study and no longer accepted phone calls.
If such thoughts before the arrests and behaviors after the arrest were not individual cases, but more widespread, couldn't they be the reason why practitioners were arrested and detained?
What's behind such thoughts and behaviors? First of all, there was fear. From the legal perspective, we have the right to file legal complaints. The brutal persecution has lasted for 16 years--shouldn't we file our accusations? We should fulfill our legal rights in an open and noble way. It's those who are responsible who should be fearful, not us.
Here is one example of what happened during the arrests. When the police walked into a practitioner's home, the practitioner's son-in-law, a non-practitioner, said, “Change your shoes before you step into this house!”
While the police were changing their shoes, the practitioner packed up and hide Dafa materials, and the son-in-law got a camera ready. When the police started to search, he took a photo whenever they touched anything. The police dared not ransack the house; they politely asked the practitioner to go with them for an inquiry, and said the practitioner would be back soon.
On their way, the practitioner clarified the truth to them. The police begged him not to expose them on the Internet. The practitioner soon returned home. The son-in-law is a non-practitioner who knows the truth about Dafa and the persecution. If he could behave in such a righteous manner, why couldn't we Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples?
Looking at this from the perspective of cultivation, Master has arranged this path of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. We only need to do it with righteous thoughts! Isn't fear a manifestation of lack of faith in Master and the Fa?
On the surface, this large scale arrest was caused by the complaints we filed against Jiang Zemin. So we should really calm down and reflect on our starting point for our indictments. If it was for ourselves or to to vent our personal resentments, then we have deviated from what Master wants.
Our real purpose for filing these complaints is to stop the persecution and save the sentient beings that Jiang has poisoned. We should ask ourselves, "Did I do it to save people? If not, what was my purpose?" If we keep digging into it, we can find our fundamental attachments.
During the past three months, we have improved our understandings quickly though studying the Fa and exchanging our understandings together. Especially in the past few days, those who attended group Fa studies have gone from being fearful to fearless. We really appreciate the importance of group communication.
The evil creates all sorts of persecution illusions to prevent us from forming one body. We often say we must negate the old forces' arrangements; however, we should be sure to negate them by what we do, rather than just saying it. As long as we are clear on the Fa principles, together with sending righteous thoughts, the evil will disappear for sure.
I sincerely hope those who haven't joined the group Fa study will quickly come together. We must follow the practice form Master left for us—studying the Fa together. For those practitioners who haven't returned home or have lost contact, please come back or step forward quickly and form one body with local practitioners. Let's fulfill our responsibilities together to save the sentient beings in our area and fulfill our historic mission!
