Additional Persecution News from China – August 7, 2015 (22 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Arrested

Ms. Lu was arrested at home by officers from the 610 Office on July 22, 2015. The officers extorted 30,000 yuan from her family before releasing her that afternoon.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Guizhen Arrested

Officers from the Dayoufang Police Station in the Daowai District showed up at Ms. Xu Guizhen's home and ransacked it on August 1, 2015. They arrested her and took her to the police station. Ms. Xu was released the same day.

The officers went to Ms. Xu's home again on August 5, and lured her to the police station. They threatened and coerced her to write a guarantee statement to not file any lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. Ms. Xu refused.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Liu Guirong Sentenced to Prison

The Changping District Court sentenced Mr. Liu Guirong, a resident of Xisanqilong Township, to three and a half years in prison. Mr. Liu has appealed the sentencing to the Intermediate Court.

4. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xianlu and Mr. Yang Jingyi Arrested

Officers from the Hengtoushan Police Station went to Hengde Village and arrested Mr. Zhang Xianlu and Mr. Yang Jingyi on August 4, 2015.

5. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Yang Jinbiao, Mr. Liu Wen and Ms. Gong Yuzhi went to the Zhangbei County Post Office on August 4, 2015 to ask if the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin they mailed out had been delivered. The post office clerk called the police. Pang Xi, head of the Zhangbei County Domestic Security Division, and several other officers arrested the three practitioners. The practitioners were detained for 15 days. Mr. Yang and Mr. Liu were taken to the Zhangbei County Detention Center, and Ms. Gong to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.

6. [Guangzong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuqin Arrested

Zhang Mengkan, head of the Guangzong County Domestic Security Division, and several other officers broke into Ms. Zhang Xiuqin's home and arrested her on the morning of August 3, 2015. Ms. Zhang was released on August 6.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ning Enhao Detained

Mr. Ning Enhao from the Huanggu District was arrested when he was telling people about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) on August 3, 2015. He is being held in detention for one month.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Yuying Detained

Officers from the Yuhuangding Police Station showed up at Ms. Yao Yuying's workplace and arrested her on August 4, 2015. She is being held in detention for 10 days.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Yupu Arrested

Officers from the Guangnei Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Yupu on July 19, 2015.

10. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Fengxia Arrested

Officers from the Wangjia Police Station in the Economic and Technological Development Zone showed up at Ms. Li Fengxia's home in the Wangjiawopeng Neighborhood and arrested her on the afternoon of August 5, 2015. Ms. Li, 67, has remained in custody at the police station.

11. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Ronghua Sentenced to Prison

The Xiangcheng County Court sentenced Ms. Zhao Ronghua to four years in prison. Ms. Zhao has been illegally held in custody for nearly 17 months. She has filed an appeal.

12. [Liuan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Peixin Detained

Ms. Wang Peixin, a retired textile mill worker, went to her son's home in Hefei to take care of her grandson. She was arrested by officers from the Datong Road Police Station in Hefei when she was posting Falun Gong informational materials on August 3, 2015. She was taken to the Hefei Detention Center.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiaomu and Ms. Kui Yongxiu Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiaomu and Ms. Kui Yongxiu, from the Lianggezhuang Village, Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, went to the Zhoukoudian Town Post Office to mail lawsuits against Jiang Zemin on August 2, 2015. Officers from the Zhoukoudian Town Police Station arrested the two practitioners and ransacked their homes. Both practitioners are being held in the Fangshan District Detention Center.

14. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Hongju Detained

Wang Hongshui, from the Nankai District 610 Office, and other police officers arrested Mr. Zhang Hongju when he was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the Nankai District around July22, 2015. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Nankai Detention Center.

15. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Yinjie Arrested

Officers from the Fuan Police Station, Zhifu District arrested Ms. Lu Yinjie at the Haigang Hospital on the afternoon of July 6, 2015. She remains in custody.

16. [Nangong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuchen Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Officers from the Luojing Town Police Station arrested Ms. Li Xiucheng and her son at home on January 27, 2015. Ms. Li's son was released after 15 days of detention. Ms. Li was held in the Baoshan District Detention Center, Shanghai.

Ms. Li was sentenced to three years in prison on July 21, 2015. She has appealed the sentencing.

17. [Pingyao County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Guo Chunxiang Detained

Ms. Guo Chunxiang, from Anyang City, Henan Province, was arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Pingyao County, Jinzhong City on July 28, 2015. The police confiscated a copying machine, Falun Gong informational materials, and paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. Ms. Guo is being held in the Yuci Detention Center, Jinzhong City.

18. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Xixiu Arrested

Officers from the Wuqing District Domestic Security Division and the Chenzui Township Police Station broke into Ms. Huang Xixiu’s and Ms. Cui Ying's homes on the afternoon of August 6, 2015. Ms. Huang was arrested, and Ms. Cui managed to escape. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. The police went to Ms. Cui's home again to harass her at 10 p.m. that night.

19. [Hunchun Ctiy, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yongli Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Wang Yongli, from Magang Township, Shenbei New District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, has been displaced. He was arrested while distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Hunchun City, Jilin Province on August 18, 2014.

He has been sentenced to four years in prison. He has been held in the Education Division in the Jilin Province Prison.

20. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zeng Xiyin Arrested

Mr. Zeng Xiyin from the No. 430 Factory in Hetang District was arrested recently.

21. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shen Dan Arrested

Officers from a branch division of the Jinzhou 610 Office arrested Ms. Shen Dan on August 6, 2015. They confiscated Falu Dafa books, a computer, and other items. She is being held in the branch division of the 610 Office.

22. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Yueyun Arrested

Officers from the Guan County Police Department and the Sang'a Town Police Station showed up at Ms. Zhao Yueyun's home and arrested her. They confiscated a computer and a printer.
